Alcohol Infusion Kit - Make Your Own Homemade Liquor Infusions Gift Set - Recipes for Vodka Tequila Rum and Gin Infusions - Great Gift Set

I'm not a big Amazon reviewer, but I had a lot of fun making my first batch and took some pics along the way, so thought I'd share my thoughts and some lessons learned.I ordered this because I like to make gifts for my family and friends each year for Christmas and this seemed like the perfect fit. I was impressed with the packaging. Nothing broken, exciting to open. I was even more excited when I discovered that the process only takes 2-3 days. Broken down into vodka, gin, and tequila infusions. The recipe book is surprisingly well thought-out. A nice intro, humorous commentary, and some delicious-sounding recipes. I do wish there had been a visual diagram of the parts and how they are used. There aren’t many, but as a novice I found myself not knowing whether the infusion was to occur in the jar or the bottle, and there was something not listed that I later discovered to be a debris filter that fits in the funnel.For my first batch, I decided on a hybrid recipe that was a mix between a couple that were included in the recipe book. The result: lime, cilantro, jalapeño vodka. I realize this would have been a great tequila infusion…but tequila is not my fave. Plus I thought this concoction would make for an excellent Moscow Mule. The infusion process itself was very straight forward. Cut stuff up, put it in the jar, pour vodka on top. I’d say I was done with it in ~15 minutes. I used 3 limes, 2 jalapeños, and a half bunch of cilantro. Oh, and of course Tito’s vodka.I waited 4 days in the hopes that it would get spicier. I was pretty excited to filter the concoction into the bottle…but I soon found out that this was the difficult part. My first mistake…eating one of the jalapeño slices. Yuck! Full disclosure, I’m not a person who drinks vodka straight and that was a VERY potent vodka jalapeño. In the book, it’s clear that this is not an exact science. There is a funnel with a large-holed debris filter as well as a fine mesh filter that the author states is the best system he has found. I really struggled with the mesh filter. It doesn’t fit on top of the debris filter…and even if it did…it’s so fine that the alcohol has a very hard time getting through it. I ended up pouring the mixture back and forth between the jar and the bottle about 4 times, using different approaches each time. You’ll see in my pictures, that I ended up creating a filtration system using the top to another jar and the mesh filter on my last go around. It worked pretty well, but I lost at least a shot of alcohol in the process.When all was said and done, it turned out quite well! I got almost all of the seeable debris out of the alcohol. It’s quite yellow and looks like pee, but it doesn’t taste like it!Is it good? Yes, it’s pretty good. The lime far outweighs the other flavors. I couldn’t really taste the cilantro at all. If I go with this recipe again, I’ll use half the lime, double the jalepeno (and/or include more seeds for more of a kick), and I think I’ll muddle the cilantro to make sure the flavor gets in there.I’m very happy with the purchase and am excited for the next batch. It’s going to be fun deciding which recipe to use for each friend and family member.Recommendation to the seller: please sell additional bottles individually or tell me where I can get similar bottles. I need a half-dozen or so more for my gifts. :-)Edit 12/22/18: Bumping from 4 to 5 stars. Just had a blast making 7 bottles as gifts for family and friends. Also discovered that my coffee maker had the perfect filter solution. See pics! Can't wait to give these out. I even made a "suicide" batch that's going in the white elephant.

Very happy with this purchase so far! Bought it for my husband for his birthday a few weeks ago and he's on his second infusion. He was already dabbling with things around the house so I wanted to get him some better tools.The jar and bottle are a good, heavy quality which he appreciates. The recipe book is also a nice addition which I preferred over kits that just came with pre- made mixes to put into alcohol. The kit is also reasonably priced compared to everything else I looked at. The one other nice quality item I was looking at was way more (too) expensive.Lastly, as a gift, this was great because it came very nicely packaged on it's own.

I gave this to my fiancé for Valentine’s Day and he loved it! We can’t wait to try out some recipes!

I don't know much about making my own anything really, so I was pleasantly surprised at the easy to follow instructions that came with this kit. And by the fact that I was able to make things that were actually potable despite my lack of experience.So far I've done two infusions, one traditional (fruit + vodka), one more exotic (candy + vodka). The book has helpful tips about what to start with and what you'll probably like based on the type of drinker you are. There are also tips for how to vary recipes, so it does feel like you're getting more than 101 and one recipes. The traditional recipes seem a bit more foolproof, and there are some I know I'm never going to be brave enough to try, but I still had a blast with both and I'm looking forward to playing around with the different recipes and methods and trying to maybe come up with my own creations.

This is a nice package that has everything one needs to make infused liquors. The recipes range from basic to very intriguing and have easy to understand directions. I bought this for the man for his birthday and he is looking forward to mastering this craft. Stuff happens and it arrives with one jar shattered. The owner responded immediately when I reached out, and immediately replaced the broken item (with a bonus too!). It does come nicely packaged and presents well as a gift. I highly recommend.

I bought this as a gift for myself, and it is awesome. It comes with everything you need and the recipe book is chock full of recipes and inspirational ideas. My first infusion, orange, lemon ginger, is absolutely delightful! I can't wait to try more. There are other infusion kits out there, but this one is the top of the line. I highly recommend Perfect Pregame Alcohol Infusion Kit if you are considering infusing your own. You can't go wrong. And the customer service is top notch to boot!

I specifically bought this one because of the circle handle the bottle shows in the picture, but no, it a plain boring bottle not as showed.
