Native to Africa and Arabia, this plant is a succulent related to the plumeria. It is noted for its swollen, pale grey trunk, or caudex, which the adenium its often twisted, unique form. The trick to creating an interesting trunk shape is to lift the plant a bit, slightly exposing its roots, when re-potting. To ensure a large swollen trunk and increase flowering, use a fertilizer not too high in nitrogen; the middle number should be the highest number. Adeniums require lots of light for flowering. Most importantly, excellent drainage is required (they are very similar to orchids in this respect). Desert roses can bloom for a long portion of the year -- depending on your climate. In warmer climates, they will bloom from spring through fall and even into winter.

This is SEEDS, NOT A PLANT
I received 5 seeds. I expected a plant. If they germinate I'll edit this review but I'm very disappointed.UPDATE: all five seeds germinated so I changed the rating from 1 star to 4 stars. Hopefully they will all survive. 100% germination would normally get 5 stars but I didn't feel that the info given at the time of purchase was clear that these are seeds not a plant.
