My kids love it so much we had to get a second one
We have had a Lunii storybox for more than 3 years now. My kids absolutely love it. So much, that we have now purchased a second one so my 6 years old and 3 years old have one each. They particularly enjoy it on very long 13+ hours, or when they want to have some quiet time.What we love:- There is plenty of choice for lovely stories on the Lunii store.- Stories are available in multiple languages. Which is very convenient for us as children speak French and English.- This is a life saver on long trips. I tend to add one or two new stories before long trips so they have a bit of novelty while being able to enjoy the stories they already have and love.- It is also great to have a choice of stories that appeal to various ages.- The Lunii is very portable and sleek.- There is no need to insert any gadget to play the stories contrary to some other story boxes (a big plus, as with my kids it would surely get lost, especially when travelling)- It is very easy to add new stories from the platform / app (the hardest part is to choose from all these lovely stories!).- The storage is very large: we already have quite a number of stories assortment but only use a very small part of the storage.- Customer service is amazing. A few years ago, we had an issue with ou Lunii (clearly my kids' fault). It was not under guarantee anymore. We contacted Lunii who provided the piece to replace with explaination on how to replace, all for free. It was a very simple process. Amazing customer service, avoiding waste of resources.It is also possible to record your own stories, but we have never tried this feature yet.

Pricey but worth it!
This is a really cute little box that I bought in a panic before a long flight. Thankfully it has already paid for itself 100 fold! My daughter (5) uses it every single evening in her bedroom for about 45 mins instead of staying up with us, badgering is to watch telly. We’ve paid about an extra £30 to have pretty much limitless stories and it’s more than worth it. A great, easy to use, hardy device that my son (3) also loves to listen to even if he’s not yet capable of choosing the stories. (Or isn’t allowed to by his big sis!)

Expensive, broke within a week, the computer app doesn't work.
Honestly? A very expensive piece of junk. My mother lives in France and got the idea to buy my English son this toy (I live in the UK and have never heard of this toy before.) In theory it sounds amazing, a toy which promotes a child's imagination and limits screen time. It has been a week and already the item doesn't work, there is a crackling sound when I switch it on and I cannot clear the stories from this storyteller as the computer app doesn't work which means I will not get the full refund when I send this expensive piece of junk back as it needs to be in a "pristine condition."The customer service people don't answer my emails and there is no phone number to contact them on either.The 8 languages which they promote is also A LIE- there is only 1 story in Russian and only a handful in English. Stories cost around £20 to download too, and the few 3min stories which they have costs £3 which are annoyingly narrated in a thick American accent.The computer app is glitchy too, and doesn't work properly. I honestly had high hopes as like many parents I am concerned with screen time that my child spends in from of the iPAD.DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM UNTIL THEY UP THEIR GAME.

My 5yr old is loving this so far. More interactive as she picks the characters and settings. Book options based on age age, genre, and language. A fair amount of English book options, but as it expands it will get better.

Nice but very low autonomy
Have to charge it almost every 2 days :(

Great screen-free entertainment
My 6 year old daughter is obsessed with this and loves being able to choose her own stories. She still enjoys reading herself and being read to and this just gives her an extra way to hear stories and foster her imagination. It was a good price on Amazon prime day and I'm sure will be excellent for longer car journeys.
