Search and Find Number of Numbers: 1 Hardcover – 7 Jan. 2020

My older daughter received this from her school library. My younger daughter loved playing with it so I ordered her a copy for Christmas. Fantastic book kind of where’s-Wally esq but with counting thrown in. Fantastic

Fabulous book. It is going to keep my grandson engaged for ages. I know he will be returning to this book often. The illustrations are terrific!

This is the second book from AJ Wood (author) and Allan Sanders (illustrator) and is the follow up to their fantastic ‘Alphabet of Alphabets’ that was realised in 2018. A Number of Numbers is one of my favourite non-fiction reads of 2020. It combines my love of books with my passion for Maths and any book that helps develop a love for numbers at a young age is fine by me.A Number of Numbers is a glorious journey through twenty two brightly illustrated double page spreads. Each double page is based around a different theme - from Noah’s Ark to a haunted house to a mini-golf course to the fair ground - there really is something that will appeal to everybody. There is a definite Where’s Wally style to the book as the reader is asked to find all manner of things, all the while developing their counting skills and powers of observation. Children begin by having to count the 1 unicycle wheel all the way up to 100 yellow hard hats and everything in between. There are lots of additional challenges too, like finding the mischievous mouse who sneaks into every picture and finding pairs of things.With beautiful illustrations that pack a great deal of humour this fun, interactive and educational book will appeal to all young children. Even though the book is produced for young readers I really like that the author does not shy way from using more challenging language. As readers count they will be absorbing information and learning the names of various instruments in an orchestra, different professions and the names of states in the USA, to name just a few.A Number of Numbers is a fabulous way for young children to learn and consolidate their knowledge of number. The book is published as a large format coffee-table sized book with thick pages that will hold up to the exploration of little fingers. Recommended for 4+.

Love the graphics of this book and the other one "Alphabet of Alphabets ". They have the same look and feel to them with interesting pages that our 2 year old really enjoys. We started with the alphabet book at 18 months and knew we needed this one once it was released in January 2020. The pages are thicker so they hold up to little eager hands turning the pages. Highly recommend both books to read with your little ones (I even enjoy looking at the pictures)

Very good. A lot of thought put into it. My kid that has a very low attention span loves it.

The book is very visually appealing, but I wish there was some sort of answer key.I like the alphabet version of this book better.

This book was fun, and we enjoyed it until the page suddenly skipped from 20 to 50 to 100.... It's just a bit weird that they started with 1-20 and completely skipped to 50. They could have at least counted by 10??? Where's 21-49? and 51-99? 🤣
