It seems like this will be OK. The plastic is hard so it doesn't really form into the corners. It still leaves a small draft. Much better than what it was. I think it would be better if it was softer more pliable plastic it would form tighter into the corners and stop all of the draft. As it is the room is much warmer with it than without it.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I ordered this a couple of weeks ago and also ordered the extension pipe. Since then I have found it on the floor of my fireplace every morning. I have taken it outdoors and used a bicycle pump to fill it with cold air to see if this was the problem... same result. This was a very expensive "balloon" and isn't worth ten cents. It will not hold air. All said, I have over $60 into a garbage bag that won't perform to any standard. Buyer Beware!

helps but we used it and added another screen to block small draft as we are serious about not a drop of warm air going up but will remove added screen when we want the fireplace to look great as it really does block most air

Expensive, but did the job to seal up my chimney since our damper doesn't fully seal off the chimney which let valuable warm air escape during the fall and winter.The kit comes with everything you need: chimney balloon, hose and even a warning label with rubber band for you to put near your fireplace as a reminder you have a balloon stuffed up there.

Easy to use and effective. If only it were able to be inserted & removed without getting filthy...

Just took a few minutes, and even though I don't think it's airtight, it does the job of cutting the draft & noise outside.

It says large on the package, but it was very small. I tried to return it, and they charged me a restocking fee.

Works very well. Made a big difference. Suggest upsize for your actually chimney measurement.
