Gerstner International GI-T24 Red Oak 11-Drawer Top Chest

My wife and I love the Gerstner Int’l GI-T24 Red Oak 11-drawer Top Chest that arrived today after an order placed only two weeks ago. Super fast! The packaging was highly protective BUT easy to remove. The chest itself is beautiful and without any flaws or scratches. The keys were in a top drawer. We plan to place the chest at the head of our central hall, on an Amish Oak table, and use it for household tools and gadgets, sorted by drawer and neatly arranged. Everything is now inside, and we still have two small drawers for other “stuff” like Scotch tape, scissors, USPS stamps..., even envelopes. We highly recommend this size chest for many uses, where the chest will be seen by guests. We’ll love to show them what a nifty device it is.

This review is 2 part: 1) the chest and 2) the seller.1) the chest is fantastic. Looks great, very high quality, and will be a great show piece for my items. Highly recommend paying the price for this level of quality.2) the chest did arrive with a small crack in one of the joints. I immediately contacted the seller and they showed excellent diligence in resolving. While getting a new chest is obviously most important, I want to acknowledge the customer service, responsiveness, and attention they paid to my request. That ultimately means more than just a new item. They acknowledged the issue, apologized, were clear in their response and next steps, were expeditious, and have certainly kept me as a customer. They are sending me a new item. All of this happened in less than 24 hours after receiving.

Very nice "MADE IN AMERICA" top quality tool chest. Well worth the price don't bother with those cheap CHEAPLY made Chinese knockoffs you waste your money if you buy those fake boxes.

FELT I WAS RIPPED OFF FOR A NON-HARDWOOD, MADE IN CHINALAND COMPROMISED, DAMAGED IN SHIPPING, GERSHNER LOOK ALIKE. I PAID WAY TOO MUCH FOR THIS TOOL BOX.THIS BRAND IS NO WHERE NEAR WHAT IT USED TO BE, MATERIAL OR DETAIL ON JOINTS / ASSEMBLY / FIT-UP.

Excellent value for the selling price. The chest arrived with the front left corner joint loose, the glue let loose. There was no damage just a loose corner joint and the support between the drawers was loose too. Instead of returning it a little glue and a couple clamps fixed it up perfectly.Normally I would have returned the item but if too many people complain and return items such as this they will disappear from the market. I applaud Gerstner for offering a decent chest at a price point where hobbiests can buy.Would definitely buy another Gerstner International product.

Though these are not the quality of the tool boxes 10/15 years ago, they are still far above the competition. My only issue with this unit was one of the large drawers stuck when opened. The rear wall of the drawer was not planed down enough. I easily planed it down with a few swipes. But it does show they are not the same as they were. Would I buy one again, yes as it is the best in on the market unless you want to go into the $1000.00 range
