Beautiful book with great recipes and format.
Love, love, love this book from the photography to the format... a great book. I love to cook and am in the process of writing my own cook book. In my quest to write my book, I have poured through cookbook after cookbook. This is a book that is so unique. It is a calbiration of different recipes found via the WWW. There are 3/+ pages dedicated to each recipe which includes a summary of who the recipe developer is and why they were choosen. The recipes are easy to follow, nice clean directions. The recipe is followed by the Food52 communities comments regarding the recipe and tips and techniques for the recipe. Beautiful book to have on a visible book shelf.

A great book for every level of cook.
Sometimes recipes for home cooks can be insultingly simple. What I love about this book and the Food52 community is that the contributors are everyday people who love to cook great food! The recipes are straightforward yet exciting and there are tons of pictures. The recipes are organized by seasons which is how I love to cook. Another plus is that the recipes work for people with busy schedules.

beautiful cover and paper quality
I accidentally ordered the hard copy instead of the Kindle Daily Deal - about $20 difference in price! At first, I was kicking myself, but then I received the book. Gorgeous photos, beautiful cover and paper quality, well worth the price. I can't wait to try the Brined Pecans and the Spinach Rarebit.

Great recipes, but a little unrealistic if you are ...
Great recipes, but a little unrealistic if you are on a budget. Spent almost $50 just to make one receipe. Eventually you can build up some of the basic ingredients, but there are so many different and unique things you need for each receipe that it makes it hard to make any of these without spending enough money to go out and get a delicious meal. Fun to use occasionally

Excellent Recipes
I really like this cookbook, even though it's rather light on the meaty recipes I cook in the winter. I've found lots of great ideas here and want to support the Food 52 crew behind this great idea of crowd-sourcing recipes

A Favorite!
Beautiful book. Great recipes. I had to get the hard cover in addition to the kindle. Glad I did! The comments on the recipes are so helpful and fun to read.

A big disappointment
After following the Food52 website for a while, I really wanted to like this book but simply cannot. Basically the problem is with the layout. Every recipe except for seven are two pages or longer and unfortunately they do not face one another but call for a page turn mid recipe. I am not going to work with a recipe that I have to keep flipping pages back and forth to navigate. Also I really see no need for comments from "the community". They add nothing to the recipe and just take up space that could have been better used making for a more readable and useful cookbook. On the positive side, there are many beautiful and well done photographs but that is not enough to save the book for me and unfortunately, it is one that I will relegate to the coffee table or shelf and probably never open again.

A great wee cookbook. Lots of different recipes. Simple enough. Would suit a beginner cook as a nice gift. Great to add to any cooks library.

最近の家庭料理の傾向がわかりますね・・・
Volume 1は買ってないので、全体的なことは言えませんが、このVolume 2 を読む限り、最近の家庭料理(アメリカの、ですが)がヘルシー志向、本物志向(なんちゃって料理は あまり受けないのでしょう)でも、手を抜くときは抜く、というのがわかります。正直、作ってみようかとおもったレシピは2,3個ですね。(それは自分のライフスタイルにも関係してくるので、肉、卵、乳を摂取する方ならもっと役に立つはず)それにしても価格が安かったのですが、理由はなんなのでしょう・・・(安い買ったからつい買ったのですが)
