Great Resource!
I love that the students fill in the featured letters for the poems. The poems are rhymes with familiar words. Great for phonics practice and building fluency with young readers.

They are engaging and they love the drawing boxes
Have been using these phonics pages with my first graders as a morning entry task. They are engaging and they love the drawing boxes.

It seems to be helping my son
The description says "kids will clamor to complete the charming poems on these ready-to-go pages"... okay, maybe some kids, but not my 6yo kid - he grumbles. It's probably still more fun than just writing random word lists though. The main thing I'm using for phonics for my son is Toe by Toe:Toe by Toe: Highly Structured Multi-Sensory Reading Manual for Teachers and ParentsHe was struggling with the initial blends in there, and using Phonics Poetry Pages seems to be helpful for him to pay more attention to those initial blends.Be sure to look inside the book though before buying it... the table of contents lists what sounds/blends are covered in Phonics Poetry Pages - there are only 50 poems, and they cover most vowels (long short w/e), several blends and diphthongs, and -ing and -ed, but far from all phonics sounds you need to learn (and no single consonant sounds), so if you have a student who struggles with certain specific things, make sure that those are actually covered in the book.
