Description claims this tachometer will read signal from coil, however tech support informs me it’s only suitable for diesel engine with a particular alternator “W” connection. It WILL NOT WORK off a coil signal. Furthermore, returning it requires buyer to pay shipping it back to China at buyers expense, which is equal to or greater than the product purchase price. This is not disclosed in the product information, so beware.Since it did not work, I can’t rate its performance, but other reviews I’ve read say the lag in response for this product is very sluggish.I can’t recommend it on any level.“Tachometer can get signal from engine, ignition coil, crankshaft sensor, or tacho sensor (be sold separately), etc. If you need tacho sensor, pls. search for ASIN NO. B075NL55CQ or B075NDSB2T”
