The ankle strap has a snap under the buckle so you don't have to mess with the buckle every time you put them on or take them off which I love.
I was not letting myself get too excited when I ordered these because I expected them to be cheap or uncomfortable. They are neither of those things and are exactly what I had hoped for. I wore them out for the first time dancing and my feet never hurt and I got a lot of compliments on them. the actual pair of shoes received looks nothing like image and style advertised. I feel like I was mislead by the seller. buyer beware!
