Mine!

I have found this book to be helpful. People who complained about how it stresses the phrase "Mine!" and only encouraged their child to say it more are missing the key pages where it teaches how to embrace "Mine AND Yours." I think it's fine that it empathizes with the child for several pages before discussing sharing. Feeling understood first is the best way to open someone up for a new message. The illustrations do a great job of showing the impact of not sharing on others and gives me an avenue to discuss my 3 year old having empathy for her younger sister and how she feels when they don't share. After all, we are supposed to be fostering innate care for others, not motivating from fear of consequence. This book is a good addition to your arsenal for discussing sharing with your young child. Is it the only book you need? Well, no! Have several to attack it from different angles.

Great and simple story that's helped my 3 year old understand the concept of mine and sharing and how it effects others around her. She really caught on pretty quick!

Good book for only children

Both my children loved this book when they were toddlers. Recently bought it again for my youngest as my son's copy got lost and i knew she'd love it. Really simple story for little ones to follow. She particularly likes it when Amy is naughty and gets cross! 😊 Good to introduce talk about sharing though she seems to prefer the bits where she's naughty 😁

Excellent little story which teaches young ones about sharing. Great pictures & easy to understand text.Would highly recommend.
