4 For Texas (Sinatra Tribute) (DVD)

If you like westerns with a humorous twist, then this movie has it all. Fist fights, singing, beautiful women (love stories) and a great premise set in Galveston, TX. Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra are the leading men, with Urslua Andress and Anita Ekberg are the stars, plenty wine women and song. Sinatra headlines, but Martin steals the show with Andress as his lady. Set in the River boat days of the south, it's about the boats restoration and domination of the business trade in Galveston. Lots of humor and a great story line,...great movie for the family, highly recommend this western romcom.

I've seen the show several times and I'll see it more. I like Dean Martin but not to much on Frank Sinatra. Anita Elberg and Ursula Andress are beautiful. It's just a fun movie. Don't get to technical about the show and it works.

This movie has everything: Old Blue Eyes Frank Sinatra, suave Dean Martin, villainous Charles Bronson, and comic relief by the Three Stooges. Gents will appreciate Ursula Andress, and Anita Ekberg. Great storyline, and a glimpse into what life in Galveston was like during the 19th century.

I always liked the beginning of this movie: the big Western outdoors and the oneupmanship going on. But then it slowed down with the indoor scenes. After reading the trouble Sinatra gave the director, I really noticed the lack of Sinatra thru most of the film and Dean Martin’s character dominating the story. After the opening scene, Sinatra shows up just enough to set his character as the antagonist and he’s really kind of annoying. Fortunately, Dean is delightful and gets most screentime. Compared to Texas Across the River, this is way better. In that, Dean just walks thru it, in FFT, he’s in top form. With Robin and the Seven Hoods, this is one of the best Sinatra/Martin team ups.

This DVD arrived on time and in good condition. How can you fail with a cast like this, totally superb. The storyline is good, the cast is great and the fun & frolics are terrific. This should be in everyone's collection, it is a constant reminder how well they made films then and a constant source of enjoyment.

This was a really fun movie. some song and blood and horses and cowboys. It was good to see the good vs evil in these characters. Its old movies done right. the acting is good and not a lot of bad words. Kind of like the good ol westerns we used to watch on saturday mornings. So take off yer hat and kick off yer boots and enjoy this one.

It's a cast of stars in a western (sometimes comedic) that's fun but not entirely memorable. Frank Sinatra & Dean Martin are the stars; they're not friends but have to team up in order to keep their gambling riverboats afloat (literally & figuratively). Other stars include Anita Ekberg (Sinatra's woman), Ursala Andress (Martin's woman), Victor Buono, Charles Bronson (a really nasty bad guy) & The Three Stooges (in a scene of comic relief).The film is directed by the great Robert Aldrich who also produced & co-wrote the screenplay, but there's little doubt about who was in control of the product: Frank Sinatra.Ekberg & Andress are wonderful to look at but are not great actresses. It's a case of, once again, Hollywood importing foreign actresses for roles not suited for them. Ms. Ekberg in particular is weak. Ms. Andress isn't half bad but American actresses would've been better suited for these roles. I don't have anything against them being from elsewhere, I certainly enjoy viewing them, it's just a case of bad casting.The final fight scene is an excellent one that took a lot of work. It's highlighted in the bonus feature as a behind-the scenes documentary. This isn't a great work of art but it is entertaining.

I absolutely love this movie. Yes, it's old and yes it's campy compared to western's made these days. BUT, it's entertaining without gratuitous amounts of blood or cursing for no other reason than to curse. It's a pleasure to relax and just enjoy the handsome good looks of Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra in their hay day. One of the best.

El sonido distorsiona y en muchas escenas es ininteligible.Sólo es bueno en este DVD la caja y la carátula. Lo siento, pero es así.
