When my storm glass arrived, I was extremely impressed with the packaging! It was packed snugly in thick styrofoam, and then encased in a very sturdy box. The product arrived in pristine condition! I absolutely love the way it looks. It is bigger than I expected, and is a very elegant looking decorative piece that also serves a purpose. So far, it has been accurate at depicting what the weather is like outside. I love this thing! It even came with a neat flyer that explained the history of using storm glass.

If you want a glass with flakes laying in the bottom as a decoration then buy it. Otherwise if you want a storm glass that actually does something stay away. I wanted to wait to write a review till I gave it time to settle and work. Well it’s been three weeks and it’s been sitting near a window not in direct sunlight and it has done Nothing! It hasn’t changed at all. It has been undisturbed to “settle in” and hasn’t done anything. In the package there are some tips and descriptions, it said to put it in the freezer for ten minutes to see an immediate change so I thought well I’ll try it, at this point it can’t hurt guess what ten minutes later and still NOTHING! We have also had various weather changes since it’s been out. We had wind storm and thunderstorms. Then snow and clear and frosty. Guess what never changed. So I can honestly say I would never recommend this product to anyone. On top of that the seller doesn’t seem to care if customers can get a hold of them. Normally you get an email asking if you are happy or to leave a review, not from this seller. Also the only option for questions or help direct you to a page to contact Amazon not the seller. Guess this will be going back apparently the seller can’t even be bothered to be contacted by customers with problems. Just wanted to warn everyone before they waste their money as well.

Everything came packaged great, I’ll admit to that. However, the product itself doesn’t do as advertised. We’ve had it out for over 3 weeks now and it has yet to change. The crystals just sit at the bottom and do nothing else. Disappointing considering it was advertised as changing to the weather.I wouldn’t waste your money on this overpriced paper weight.

This thing is cool. It looks good and maybe will tell me the weather. Great centerpiece as well. The size was nice for putting it on a table.

I bought this mostly for the aesthetics of a storm glass, not the function of it. In all honesty I have no idea how to read it but it looks good.The base is real wood (I painted mine black) and the glass has a heavy weight to it, feels high quality and fairly durable.For sure adds to a room without distracting and its really reasonably priced as well,

I understand this was not suppose to be an accurate weather prediction however, in the time I have had this item we have experienced weather ranging from 28 degrees to 73 degrees, rain, thunderstorm, ice and winds up to 25 mph, but the Storm Glass has showed no change for any of these weather conditions, the crystals remain on the bottom of the glass. Directions say give it two weeks to adjust to the location, well its been almost 8 weeks, as i said not suppose to be accurate but i think it should change to some degree.

I have had this for a few weeks now and it looks exactly the same every day. Does not change at all. Very disappointed. Didn’t care how accurate it was because I thought it would loook cool but instead it never changes and is very boring to look at.
