Worked in my 2015 Caravan
It works in my 2015 Dodge Caravan with a Pixel 2 cell phone. On a 2300 mile trip the CD player tried to search 2 times for a CD. I adjusted the mount's depth a little to resolve the search attempts. The van has the super console and there were no problems having the cell phone charger being connected (bottom charge port). Like all similar mounts it is made of plastic and can rattle a little over rough roads. The position of the release button made it very easy to remove the phone when leaving the car. On two quick stops for traffic lights, the holder held the phone in place. For the price, I am very pleased with the device.Installation Hint: Like many ball mounts it can be difficult to get the mount tight enough to prevent the mount from tilting down once the phone is in the holder. To resolve this, just wrap a layer of plumber's tape around the ball to increase the friction.

Grips well, phone feels secure
How useful this is will be dependent on where your CD player slot is in your car, but for me this is the best car-phone holder I've ever used.To set up, you take the washer off the back of the case and out it over the ball on the CD player mount. Screw the washer back on from there and that's what lets your holder liver. The tighter you turn that screw, the more it'll stay in one position. There's a button you press and hold on the back that depresses the arms to hold the phone. You just lay your phone in and close it over. It doesn't look like it's got it, but it does. I shook it around to see if the phone would dislodge but it didn't.As for it holding in the CD slot, there's a knob at the bottom. Just turn it to the right and it'll clamp down and stay put.I have a Razer Phone 2 and a Nissan Rogue. My phone case is silicone and I wasn't having luck with pop sockets or magnetic discs because of the material. That's not an issue with this phone holder. The disc player is also at the perfect height for me. It's the same as glancing at your CD player dash or pressing a button to change settings there.I'm really happy with this phone holder and I think I'll be using it for a long time

Exactly what I needed
The media could not be loaded. I've tried a ton of different phone holders. Vent clips aren't sturdy enough. Suction cups fall off in the extreme AZ temp changes... I discovered cd slot holders and had a magnetic one with my last phone and loved it so much! But my new phone has wireless charging, so no more magnetic holder. I wanted something cheap, as I don't mind using a usb-c cord if I absolutely need to charge in the car, and got this one. LOVE IT. Just what I needed to replace my old magnetic one and get my Android auto back up to a useful position.

Great phone mount that gets the job done
There are so many phone mounts on Amazon that it's nearly impossible to decide. I bought a previous one by a top brand according to Amazon and within a month it locks it's suction and ended up falling over mid car ride. I decided that I was going to go with something a little more mechanical and one that didn't rely on a sticky substance on my dash. This CD slot phone holder was the perfect mount for me.It fits both my phone and my wife's, and she even uses a pop socket. The little arms go into your cd slot and then you turn the knob to tighten it in place (don't forget this step like I did at first, it's crucial.) Once you tighten it to your console, that thing ain't moving. It has a gyrating head that you can position the way you like it as well.Overall, great product at a great price without all the sticky residue and fail rates of the other brands. I highly recommend it.

Overall, a good design for many cars. Works well in 2016 Audi S4/A4.
I tried the phone holder in two cars. 2016 Audi S4 and 2010 Subaru Legacy. It works better in the Audi. It is usable in the Subaru. It snugs into the CD slot pretty well, better in the Audi. It only fell once on a hard bump, and that was because I installed it quickly. Using care to carefully install matters. It's easy to install if you just take your time. It doesn't obstruct the Audi mid dash vents much, nor the MMS screen. It does require the little door that hides the SD memory slots to remain open.If you leave it in one car (as most will do), you should check it occasionally to be sure it is still tight since installing/removing the phone can tend to move the CD mount. In the Subaru, it sits very high since the CD slot is at the top of the infotainment unit... but (for me in a few tries) it didn't hold in the CD slot quite as well. I didn't take the time to figure out why...if it was my mounting it, or it could be the shape and bite of the Subaru CD slot isn't as good for this phone. I just use it in the Audi now.The actual installation and removal of the phone into/out of the holder are easy and work well in the Audi or the Subaru. The CD slot lock-in works better in some cars than others because of the size, shape, and position of the CD slot. The range of swivel/adjustment (vertical or horizontal and angle) of the mount should also be good in any car. It's better than the older magnetic ones I've used. Phones have gotten too big/heavy for the ones first magnetic ones I had and the phone would fall off the mount itself. This does not happen with this phone. My phone is a Samsung about 5.5 by 2.75 inches with a plastic cover. A larger phone will easily fit.

Nice way to go handsfree in the car
Rather than a suction cup mount or something that goes in the AC vent, this phone holder is placed in the CD drive. If I ever switch to a bluetooth audio system in my car I won't be able to use this anymore but for right now it does the job. It fit my iPhone 7 with an otterbox case. It's easy to remove the phone. And the visual height is fine. It could be a tad higher but that's not the fault of the holder, it's just the way my car's CD player is laid out. I've only had this for a couple of days but so far it doesn't wobble too much. If your CD player starts to search for a CD, just ease the holder out of the slot a very small amount. You can adjust the sliders too so that they get a better grip - before you put the holder into the CD slot, turn the knob so that the sliders are level with each other. Once you insert into the CD slot, turn the knob slightly to get the sliders to grip the inside of the slot and hold on tighter. Seems to be a pretty good design.
