Easy To Use
Product is well made and did the job i needed it to do. Delivery was fast product was well packaged and reasonably priced. My only problem was getting it off the grease nipple, I’d never used one before and just pulled and pulled to get it off, no good. So I went on line and quickly learned the knack for removing, it was simple and straightforward. So if an instruction in the packaging on how to do the manoeuvre would be useful.

Lumax LX-1152 Grease Gun Works Just Fine. Please Read. Most Bad Reviews Explained.
I read tons of reviews on many of the grease guns and decided upon this gun. It is built solid and doesn't seam cheap at all. In order to avoid the issues that many others are having, I did the following once I received it:1). Checked the tightness of the fittings. All of them were slightly more than hand-tight from manufacturer. No wonder many of these guns leak out of every location. I put teflon tape on every thread and added just a tiny bit of plumbers pipe joint compound (10,000 psi liquids); wiping off any excess so as not to contaminate grease. The compound is probably not needed on this, but I use it on any fitting under gas or liquid pressure. It's awesome.2). Unscrewed tip and applied teflon tape & joint compound; so it would easily turn when I needed it to. I also left it loosened/unscrewed tip 1 turn; so I could easily unscrew if it got stuck on grease fitting.3). Test fit the tip on a grease fitting, before adding any grease to the gun, and adjusted the tip so it wouldn't just pop off, but came off easily when wiggled just a bit. About 1 turn or so.4). Loaded the gun... Pull back on handle, drop in grease cartridge, pull tab and remove lid, screw top on (leaving 1/2 turn loose to help air bleed), released bottom handle while holding finger on air bleed, then screw top on tight enough to seal, but not too tight to cut into or damage the o-ring. The handle/spring may not go all the way in. This is ok and expected. Ignore it for now. Once you pump out a little grease, you can hold air bleed and let it in the rest of the way.The gun worked fine on the 1st grease fitting (40 pumps on new bearing spindle until grease started coming out), but it got stuck when finished with 2nd grease fitting. I spun the whole gun around 1 turn to loosen the tip (since I already pre-loosened it) and it came right off the grease fitting.Other tips:5.) If the guns stops pumping grease don't freak out; simply bleed out the air. This happened on my 2nd grease fitting. I simply held down on the air bleed for a couple seconds and let the grease push out the air. A little grease started to come out of the air bleed. This was expected and indicate that all air had been removed.6.) If the gun gets stuck on the grease fitting, don't panic and start breaking out the hammers and pry-bars. Grab some pliers or vice-grips to loosen the tip a couple of turns and it'll come off. It should already be loose if you followed my previous suggestions. That's it. Hopefully this helps out anyone that is deciding on a grease gun or is having issues. A little patience and common sense goes a long way. Granted, I've only used this gun once and can't speak to it's longevity, but it worked great. I'll update if any further issues. I have more fittings to grease before I'm done with this project.

Replaced an old one
Looks like a good grease gun but time will tell. Seems to be well made and works well right out of the box. I did replace the zerk end with my old one and kept the new one for a spare
