Water Spray is Luxurious and Soothing
The media could not be loaded. Great for Low Water Pressure and also Hard Water Deposits.Ive just tried a score or so of showerheads, and this is one of the top units. I have true low water pressure, at best it's 40 psi and quickly declines from there. Good rinsing water spray/flow and good warmth. Soft pulsating sensation that isnt harsh at all, very luxurious and pleasant. Makes it feel like more water! Just like they advertise. The 1.85 gpm unit is perfect for low water pressure situations. Keeping the flow uniform instead of fluxuating with pressure changes at max flow rates whilst not dipping too far down so that you feel like you wish you had more water flow. Note low water pressure usually means that you are using even less water than the stipulated flow rate, so if you got the 1.5 gpm Delta version of this, you would actually get less depending on your pressure, maybe 1.3 gpm. So Im probably getting around 1.6 to 1.7 gpm with this 1.85 gpm unit. Id definitely go with the 1.6 gpm Alsons version if I wanted to go lower, instead of the 1.5 gpm Delta version. I wanted to limit flow to extend hot water so went with 1.85 gpm only model so that others in the household wont be tempted to switch it higher. The Delta 2.5/1.85 gpm switchable version is the best choice for most.Im posting flow videos and comparative reviews of my showerhead testing on a blog. Great low flow shower head!
We've had this installed for over a year and we really like it! It works extremely well and is definitely saving us water/energy. As others have mentioned, it takes some getting used to at first - the pressure feels pretty intense at first - but after 1-2 weeks you don't notice a difference, and then you get so used to it that you forget it's there. Finish is holding up well so far too.

The look of this shower head was exactly what I wanted
The look of this shower head was exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, nothing else was what I needed. I live in an apartment and my shower head provided is okay but looks tacky and I wanted a bit more water pressure. This nozzle looked to be what I wanted. It arrived promptly but unfortunately didn't fit the existing extender that was attached to the wall. I had to return it. I never got to actually use it, therefore I'm not sure how the water pressure is or how it would effect my water bill. The brushed nickel was a nice color however and it felt well constructed.

Too misty
This shower head creates a mist type water flow. Perhaps some people like that, but personally that is the exact opposite of what I like. I prefer an ample but gentle stream as that both washes away soap better and keeps the warmth of the water on you. After a hot 10 minute shower there is sure to be some fog in the bathroom but with this shower head it was so thick I couldn't even see through it! That means all that water is being wasted turning into mist and dong nothing for my bathing experience. It does give that 'pelted' type feel, so maybe that is why the reviews were so positive. Not for me though. Item was returned. The build quality was good however.

love it!
I have the 1.6GPM version of this showerhead in my house and recently bought this 1.85GPM version for the other bathroom. I bought them based on Amazon recommendations and I absolutely love both versions. I do notice that the 1.85GPM one has more flow/output than the 1.6GPM (as you'd expect - the point being that I can actually notice the extra 0.25GPM when I shower). For me, I think I'd probably buy the 1.85GPM in the future -- as it performs as well or better than any 2.5GPM shower head I've used in the past and I do prefer the extra flow but still feel good when I see my monthly water bill! The one downside of this showerhead is that there's no adjustment of the spray pattern, but frankly, I like the pattern just fine (and I knew buying it that it was a fixed pattern). I find that if I put my head/neck right against the showerhead, it actually has enough force to provide a light and effective massage feeling. At the same time, the spray pattern is very effective at quickly rinsing soap off the lower body -- unlike some of those very airy fine-mist low-flow showers I've had to use in the gym, etc.I first bought the 1.6GPM version of this for my parents house about 1.5 years ago, and they've been very happy with it. It also seems to be much slower to clog than other shower heads they have previously used. They have softened rural well-water for whatever that's worth.Overall, this is a real winner of a product for the low-flow category. Highly recommended.

Worked for me, could have been better
Seems to put out a decent amount of water, I've read some reviews on other water saving heads that didn't appear to put out enough to properly rinse out shampoo - not had any problems with this one. I do wish the pressure was a bit more intense but its sufficient enough, I wish it had some kind of adjustment to change the flow to potentially increase the pressure as needed, I believe Delta has branded a similar Alsons shower head that does have the additional adjustment feature if you wanted to go that route. Overall I am pleased, replaced an older waterpik shower head that had those rubber nipples that always seem to get clogged glad this one wont have the same fate.
