From the Publisher In 2004 Veet Allan illustrated this chart regarding the fourteen main meridians or channels (jing luo) of the Classical Chinese Acupuncture-Moxibustion medical system. It includes all of the main treatment points/holes (xue) or `residential' tsubo (hu) and several extra-ordinary (qi) ones. Plus, the abdominal diagnostic zones for each of the Five phases or elements (wu xing). All points or `res-tsubo' which are highlighted here are taken from the year 2000 syllabus of the UK Shiatsu Society. The principle ones being coloured black, are recommended for study of both their function and location. Whereas, the secondary ones coloured silver, require a working knowledge of their location only. Due to the current interest in the study of Classical Chinese medical texts Veet has included the traditional Chinese characters against the meridians and aforementioned points here along with their Western nomenclature. This intriguing study is placed within a human body-scape and highly detailed anatomical illustration of the skeletal and muscular systems. Augmented by Chinese cun location rulers for accuracy. Subsequently, this chart may be used as a comparative and fundamental reference for the others in the present series. Namely, the `Ocean of Streams ' (zen meridians) and `Clouds and Rain' (eight primordial-source vessels) charts respectively.
