Perfect
I cut the footswitch off and wired the Flylead on to the volt free contacts for the overflow switch on a condensate pump. If the pump breaks down and the water level gets too high my dehumidifier automatically turns off to prevent water damage. Also worth buying a cheap smart plug adapter so you can turn appliances off remotely too with this device plugged into the adapter.Am very happy, no fuss and all unattended. Will be useful for other projects like adding a condensate pump (with overflow switch) to a boiler if you are competent in electricals but not boiler safe registered, saves you getting a tradesman to crack open your boiler or mess with the boiler wiring but only in the case your boiler is fitted with flex and a plug and not hard wired in as fixed wiring comes under notifiable work. Useful for all sorts of automation.

Mine was black with blue LEDs and looks fantastic on a desk
I purchased this as I couldn't easily reach the power switch behind my desk and it works perfectly for my needs. I received a black version with a double semi-circular power light on rather than the white one in the product images but I am grateful for that as it allowed me to use it in my setup rather than hiding it away. It looks pretty good on a desk. It's light and easy to use although I think it's better suited to hand use over foot use as it seems too light to put weight on and doesn't sit flat without the supplied sticky pad.The switch unit itself uses soldered connections on the inside so isn't suitable for rewiring in case you wanted to feed the cable through a hole. The power plug unit itself is difficult to dismantle as the screws are a triangle pattern rather than Phillips or flat and the lowest two are partially obscured by the three pin connector. So I wouldn't go for this unit unless you can use as-is, without feeding through any holes. All in all its a tidy little power switch with good looks.

Useful and works just as you’d hope/expect.
Does exactly what it claims to. Can switch up to 1300 watts which makes it safer (than some others) and more versatile. The light on the switch part is quite dim which could be a pro or a con depending on where and how you want to use it. I find the button is easier to press when pushed on the right or centre than on the left, presumably because of the internal design - not a problem but just something to be aware of.

Useful, but average build quality
I am using this plug switch for a difficult to reach plug that is turned on frequently. Very handy and prevents me from being over every time. Ships in a small box. Cord is of a good length. Overall finish of the switch is very basic; don’t expect exceptional quality, but works well. The button is a little stiff. Once pressed, you can hear a click from the plug unit part. LED light on the from is very useful. The bottom part of the switch unit also has a sticky pad so can be mounted if you like. Overall, a good item with average build quality. 3.5/5

Black with blue light not white
Makes life so much easier. We got these for lamps that are hard to reach the knob and my partner just keeps marvelling at how much better it all is given we use the lamps daily.I like that these are black - the image for the ad should reflect that tho- I knew that from reading the reviews.I really hate the blue light that comes on when you press it. It seems extra and I also just personally don’t like blue leds in general- doesn’t fit my aesthetic. Would be great for computer stuff / gamer den visually.I’ve taped up the light on the switch with some black cloth tape so I don’t have to see it.Would love to see one of these with no led (let’s face it we know it’s on and working if the lamp is on) and maybe some swish cordage offer different options to suit housing design preferences? Just musing.Anyway these are good even if they’re not the most beautiful for my preferences

Product received doesn't match the ad photos
The ad shows a fully white product with a discreet light. As per the photos attached the cable and foot switch are black with a very intense blue light all around the button. The quality is also not the best. The piece that holds the cable in place when it connects to the switch box was coming off.As mentioned in other reviews, the cable is very light weight so it will just fold on it self.Returned it the same day I received it.

Simple. Sturdy. Easy for frail users too
It saved my elderly mother from having to bend down to turn on a heater. Very well made, quite sturdy. She was extremely frail but could still push the button. Generous lead length. A simple device but it so helped her. As I remember the button has a nice, gentle blue glow around it when it's "on".
