Just one of those things you don't know how much you needed until you have it. I purchased this particular model due to the UL listing. The cord appears heavy and durable. All three sockets are working properly so far. The foot pedal switch also seems to be sturdy enough, though you'll want to use a good firm (not stomping!) foot press when activating the switch. I have this attached to the Spider Farmer SF 1000 grow light (100w) and fans (30w) which I currently switch on and off manually. It's quite nice to be able to activate all three outlets with one switch. Right now it's on duty 14hr. day and so far so good. If I could change anything it would be the light on the foot pedal, I'd rather it not light up. I guess I didn't see that in the description when I purchased. Other than that, I certainly recommend. Just take care of it, only use it inside, and treat it like what it is. I expect this should serve it's current purpose and future purposes with no problem.

I bought this extension cord with foot switch along with other sizes and colors from the same company. They are absolutely amazing! I knew to trust this brand, since in the past I bought other extension cords from this company and I was very happy with the quality. Firstly, gotta say that it looks like a great quality piece that will last a lifetime. I like the lights feature that let's you know the status of the plugged in device. Power on/off - device on/off. For a long time I was looking for these foot switch cords with 3 prong grounded outlets but there wasn't any available on the market only the 2 pronged. A few days ago, was the first time I came across these grounded ones here on amazon! Needless to say, I was on a high! I have my old fan that doesn't have any switch making it a big hassle having to bend down to plug or unplug this wire every time I wanted this fan on/off. Now with this piece, my issue is history. I got a great convenience. I just tap it with my foot and its on and than another tap and its off. There are so many more places where I can use it, like my coffee maker which I wanted to place in my office but didn't have an outlet close by so I had to use an extension wire. The problem was that every time I wanted a coffee, I would need to crawl under my desk to put it on. Shipped fast and worked as described.

Overall, it's pretty beefcake, save for the switch. The switch is kinda lightweight compared to the rest of the build.So when it's laid on the floor, the switch rarely is facing 'up' due to its lightweight design. a little heft on the floor footswitch would go a long way.Also the switch is exactly in the middle. Depending on your use, this might be a Pain in the rear, having excess cordage on one-or the other end. Personally, I'd rather have the switch closer to the plug, or a different version with spacing options.The cord is adequately beefy for handling 15A+ power, but the switch seems anemic in comparison.

Bought this for my Wife's Christmas Village. It has a lot of plugs and she would go through and switch them all on and off. Now she has a floor switch to simply turn them all on/off at once!

I run a small fan on the top of a bookcase to push the warm air down in the wintertime. Reaching the fan to turn it on/off was a nuisance. This floor switch is a great remedy! As it is inexpensive, it’s not something you would want to stomp on real hard. (It’s a plastic 1/2 round ball switch). But for residential use, this is perfect.
