We bought this to use when our granddaughter is visiting and it is exactly what we needed! We’ve been using it for over a year now. The video quality is great and the monitor’s battery lasts forever. It has great range - we have a 4000 square foot house and we have connectivity no matter where we are in the house. There’s nothing to set up - you just plug it in and it’s ready to go. For the price, it’s definitely a great value for a secure non-wifi option, a small monitor to throw in the diaper bag for travel, or to keep at Gigi’s house!

Great picture and sound. Easy to use

So I have been using the Nanit camera ever since my son was born which requires a very strong internet connection. Well, we moved to a place where we pretty much have no internet, rendering my Nanit camera useless. So we bought this so that I can still see our son sleeping and check on him without having to open his super annoying door, risking waking him up. The picture quality is decent for what it is, I cant really complain. Its obviously not high def or anything but I can see him and I can actually see him breathing as well. The battery life isnt as long as I would like it to be but its no issue having it plugged in. The range is great. I love the large screen size. Im giving this 5 stars because it does what it is supposed to do and does what the manufacturer says it will. Its no out of this world monitor but it will do.

Use this daily. Sometimes the screen shuts off for no reason (it's happened maybe 4 times in 6 months), but it turns right back on. Sound is great. We can take it all over the house with no other problems.

We got this monitor before my baby was born over a year ago and we’ve been using it ever since she was born. We weren’t looking for anything super fancy, and we mostly use it for watching her sleep. It picks up sound very well, but our baby uses a sound machine so hearing her cry is sometimes muffled. We keep the camera over her crib and it has worked well without fail. It switches from a normal view during the day to a night vision view when the lights are off so we can always see her. The night vision view is a little blurry at times but it’s not too blurry where we can’t see her. We can take the monitor anywhere in the house or on the back patio/front porch and still have a good connection to the camera. We’ve also taken this monitor and camera on vacations to keep an eye on our baby. It’s been a great purchase and we haven’t had any problems with it. I highly recommend it if you’re needing an affordable monitor to keep an eye out on your kid while they sleep.

La pantalla de 5” es grande y nítida, incluso en la visión nocturna, que muestra todo con mucha claridad. La batería dura bastante: en modo video me aguanta toda la noche sin problemas (alrededor de 12 horas) y si solo lo uso en modo audio, hasta más de 20 horas. El alcance también es muy bueno; puedo moverme por toda la casa e incluso al patio sin perder la señal. Me encanta la función de conversación de 2 vías, ya que puedo calmar a mi bebé hablándole sin tener que ir de inmediato a la habitación. Además, al no depender de Wi-Fi, me da más tranquilidad en cuanto a privacidad.

**update: less than a year old and the range is getting shorter and shorter. I now need to use the antenna just to walk go into a room across the hall or I lose the connection. The battery life is awful! Dim screen when quiet isn’t good at all. When on “highest” sensitivity the screen never dims and the monitor sounds like white noise but on “high” sensitivity I can hear the baby fussing and crying through her closed door across the hall long before the monitor turns on to let me know she’s awake. And her crib and my bed are on opposite sides of the house!! I should definitely hear her on the monitor first. I haven’t even attempted to use a lower sensitivity because I don’t want her going ballistic in the middle of the night before the monitor recognizes she’s awake. You can turn the volume all the way off on the video feed but the menu button response is kinda loud at 2am and there no way to shut it off or turn it down. Don’t know why...I don’t need a loud beep every time I enter a menu setting. Temp alert is crap. I set the low to 64 and it started alarming at 67. Set the high to 75 and it would alarm at 73. I gave up on using it after the 1st week of fluctuating weather in New England. Best suited for a single level home, the monitor losses connection when I go downstairs. As a plus, the picture is good and night vision works very well. To be honest I bought it because I had higher expectations from VTech than a no name company. I’ll keep it but would have made a different choice if I had used it prior to purchase

Great monitor for travel. I purchased this as a travel monitor and it gets the job done. The picture is great and so is the range but the battery is horrible. Make sure you can be near a charger as the battery goes fast.

Hemos probado el monitor en distintos espacios con diferentes distribuciones de hogar y la conexión entre el monitor y la cámara es muy estable. La calidad de sonido no es la mejor pero es decente y funciona.

Love the monitor ! But the night vision quit working and the hand held doesn’t hold a very long battery life .
