Talk to your plants more, they're bad about asking for help.
Shipped quick and arrived gloriously. These were much bigger than I needed for indoor house plants as they kept toppling the plants over. Be warned that if you have suicidal plants that throw themselves off of shelves and the watering globe hits a hard surface, the globe will shatter. There were some big chunks that made it easy to clean up but the glitter that ensued from some of the broken glass made me ragey. Especially since so much of this Christmas herpes fell behind the terlet. That's neither here nor there. Long story longer: make sure your pot is big and heavy enough to hold the globe(s) and that your plants have good mental health before installing.

I found a trick to helping fill it up fast.
the globes work great. I have an oregano plant and personally it's hard figuring out how much water it needs and with the globes i put in it has been drinking up all it needs. it was getting brown and dry So far its growing again back to normal. And I'm thinking of buying a couple more. I found it easier to fill them up if you put a bendy straw in with the short end sticking out so the air inside can come out and just let the water got it through the gap. I fill it up that way it filled up like in less than 10 seconds.

Knock offs, not as pictured
Ordered official "Aqua Globes" and got knock off "Water Wizards". Probably doesn't matter but I don't appreciate being bait and switched.

You can use these daily or while on a vacation
I have decided that I LOVE these and I am buying more. They can benefit your plants daily or whenever you are away from home.DAILY USE: I have flowers in my window boxes. They really need watering once a day, and it would be better if they were watered twice a day; there's no way I'm ever going to live up to that expectation! The poor things droop in great distress if I ever miss a day of watering. Now I just stick one of these bulbs in each window box (just insert it into the soil beneath the plant at an angle - no need to dig a hole or do anything fancy), and my flowers are happy all the time!!! They don't even suck all that much water from the bulbs; just what they need to keep the soil moist. I go out and water them every third day or so and refill the bulbs about every 4-5 days (depends on how hot and dry it is). I also tried them in a large flower pot whose occupant needed more water than all my other potted plants, and he sprung back to life! So these keep me from killing or torturing all of my potted plants, plus some of the fussier flowers in my garden.WHILE ON VACATION:I would only trust these to water my plants unattended for about three days if I really loved the plant. I use these outdoors in New Mexico, so I would bet that an indoor plant would be fine for five or six days. As other reviewers have noted, it is POSSIBLE for the flute of the bulb to get somewhat clogged with soil and be less effective, but it's rare. (It's also easy to unclog. Just run some water in there. I have never had one get really badly clogged.) Personally, I insert the water bulbs into the soil a day before leaving. I will notice a slight drop in water volume in the bulb if it's working as it's supposed to. If not, pull it out, check for a soil clog, and reinsert. Never had any real problems. These are really worth a try!

Really like them but......
The globes are very pretty and look nice in my plants. I have not come close to the two weeks as stated . One pot is deep enough for the shaft of the globe to be vertical as instructed and I have to fill it every 3-4 days. My other pot is too shallow for the globe to be vertical so it is angled. At the time, I wondered if the angle would interfere with the physics involved and I was right. This globe is empty in less than 24 hours. I have now ordered the mini globes for this plant .The humidity level in my living room is extremely low (severe cold outside right now) and I recently added a natural humidifier to my room. I am curious to see if the change in humidity as the weather becomes warmer will affect the evaporation rate of the aqua globes. I do really like their appearance !

Came home to (mostly) happy plants.
I bought this pair of glass "aqua globes" just prior to a 12 day trip out of town. I was a bit worried, based on the reviews, that I'd stick them in the dirt the night prior to travel and awaken to find them empty. They were still mostly full the morning I left for the airport. Returning from my cross-country trip I found one plant a little thirsty and the other perky and healthy. It only took a little extra water to make the needy, smaller plant stand up proudly again. I use them most of the time now and my plants are doing great (and I am not particularly good with plants).

GREAT IDEA, PRETTY TOO!
I use the 2 globes for my indoor 4' ficus tree that I've re-potted recently. The globes seem to be working fine. One thing you must be aware of is if dirt gets packed too far into the channel you have to pick it out with a toothpick. Otherwise these are such a pretty item to keep up with your plant's watering. One thing to be careful when refilling them at the sink, MAKE SURE not to clank them against the faucet & sink! Of course you as well, must keep an eye on them for when they become empty.

Save your plants!
If you have plants, buy one of theses and gently create a hole down into the pot with your finger,or you might damage the roots. Then put on of these babies in, pack the dirt back around it, and your plants drink as little or as much as they need. Your plants will love them, and you.Just make sure one doesn't have a fracture. All the water pours out if you do. Out of all the ones I have bought only one was fractured. Fill them, put them in, and the water should go down slowly. Keep watch because sometimes they run out quick, so fill them back up when they run out. I always fill them with water that is mixed with plant food. I have accidently over/under watered some of my plants before I bought these. NOT ANYMORE!!!!! Each plant I put one of these on always reacts so positively. Droopy plants perk up, stale ones sprout new leaves. Of course you have to keep your eyes out for parasites. But be careful. I put one of the globes in by just filling it up and putting it in without digging the hole with my finger, and killed the plant, (bummer).I highly recommend these.
