Rachael Ray Jumbo Chillout Insulated Tote Bag, Large, Purple

This bag is so easy to clean.

Ok, so I go this bag b/c I needed a heavier duty bag, other than my usual insulated bags, that I use for my usual grocery trips. I took a trip to Louisiana and I knew I wanted to bring back some frozen food items with me. So I brought an extra suitcase and put this bag into it along with some gel ice packs. Once I got to our Air BnB I put the gel packs in the freezer until we got ready to fill the bag with our food items on the way to the airport.So once we got the sausages and boudin balls, we kept them in the freezer until ready for travel. On the day we left we packed the bag with our frozen items and the gel packs and it was a tight fit (b/c we got a lot LOL). But we had the bag packed around 11-11:30. We had some time before our flight so we chilled at my mom's house (brought the bag w/ the food items inside (but left it in the suitcase), until we left for the airport around 2pm. So long story short, we didn't get home until around Midnight EST (traveling from CST). We opened that bag first, and everything was still pretty frozen. Only one pack of boudin balls were a little soft, but everything else stayed frozen solid. So the bag did its job well. It held a lot of goods for our trip and kept everything preserved during the long day of travel. It's a sturdy bag and I'm looking forward to continued use.

I got this red bag for my mom because I wanted her to bring me some food from Louisiana when she came to visit me in Virginia. I actually did the same when we visited my home state and I used this same bag to bring home some goodies. She was able to fill the bag of frozen meats and put them in her checked bag. She had a direct flight so all total I'm thinking they were in the bag for about 4-5 hours. Everything was still mostly frozen, only partially defrosted. And everything was still quite cold. I put most of everything in the fridge and freezer when they all arrived and it was perfectly safe. I use this (when I remember to bring it) when I go grocery shopping and need to keep things cold when I'm not going directly home. It's got a ton of room and it's very heavy duty. I really like it!

I love this bag so much, and I have only used it a couple times. Though, I know I will have many uses for it in the future.Recently, I used it to transport 8lbs of club-packed chicken and a large 8lb pork shoulder roast to my family's to cook for a party. It kept it super chilled, and the small baggie of ice I stuck in was not even melted after a 1.5 hr drive on a hot day. I couldn't believe how much I could easily fit in it! The flat bottom is great for fitting pan sized containers, large bottles of pop, a 6pk of your favorite beverage and more.I can see myself using this going between grocery stores and keeping dairy/freezer stuff cold. It is really nice looking that it could be used for a lot of things like a vacation, a reunion/picnic, or now that a lot of places you might need a cooler and food you can't or wouldn't want to take a hard-sided cooler.The straps are plenty long and sturdy so you can carry it over your shoulder without digging into your shoulder. Zippers are of good quality and seal the bag securly, and the convenient pockets on the front make it simple to have a little extra storage for shopping lists, a wallet, etc. You can easily tell that the outer nylon material is a heavy duty and won't rip, and the interior reflective thermal material is high quality and the proof shows it keeps things nice and cold!

This bag served me well as I traveled through Europe for a few months. It kept items cold for the couple hours I needed between markets, site seeing, and my Airbnbs. It fits a week's worth of staple perishables for one person. It folds flat enough to prioritize it as a need in my slimmed down luggage plan.My only complaint, and it's rather significant to my needs, is the straps are too short. Once the bag is full, it's difficult to hitch over your shoulder and carry comfortably. I found that I had to use both arms to keep the bag on my shoulder, or let it hang to the ground, rendering the carry arm useless for anything else.

Very nice bag at a good price. I paid around $13 for a purple one. I expected that Rachael Ray would not put her name on a piece of junk and I was not disappointed. This bag has a silver color thermal lining and a thin foam insulation layer. The finish appears good, i.e. no loose threads or bad seams. The top closes completely, unlike some similar bags. This is not a full blown cooler, its walls are not an inch thick. It is a thick grocery bag. We use it for a several hour car ride to the cottage and shopping. It is the best lightweight cooler bad I have found to date. I bought a second one.. I have owned these for a month and will update my review if they do not hold up. Some many bags and cloth goods have such tight seam allowances that the seams pull apart after a while. We will see how Rachael Ray holds up.

Overall it's a great tote bag. I was disappointed by the handles. I thought they were longer. I can't put it over my shoulder easily. I had to add my own shoulder strap. It's not my go to bag.

Larger than I thought

I have 4 coolers. This one is my favorite. I keeps things cold longer than the hard sided coolers. I also like that I can place frozen items in it sideways and our it flat... something I can't do with the hard sided cooler.

Happy with purchase.

Just what I needed for my hiking trip. Tossing in an icepack or two kept our drinks and fruits cold and fresh for a full day.Now, I use it weekly to keep our groceries (ice cream, frozen foods, meats, etc) cool in the car while running other errands.
