Remote microphone allows much higher gain without feedback.
I got a much better price from the seller on Amazon than I would have paid had I purchased from Resound and the unit works great. I already had a Micro Mic but bought this because it adds a mini jack input that allows my hearing aids to function as earbuds. I like this function when I work out at 24 Hour Fitness using an elliptical machine with a mini jack output for the TVs.Using a remote microphone like this Multi Mic or Micro Mic allows much higher gains that I need for my substantial hearing loss. My wife really appreciates this when we go to a restaurant. She can converse with me without raising her voice when she wears this on a lanyard. The battery in this unit lasts longer than the one in my Micro Mic.I am very pleased with this Multi Mic.

Useless as a table microphone; stopped working after 2.5 months
I bought this device to use as a table microphone in a restaurant setting. It turned out to be useless for that since it picked up the noise from the environment just like my regular hearing aid. It worked well to connect my computer to my hearing aids, but stopped working after about 2.5 months.

Good Conversation Aid for Hard of Hearing
This device can be very useful for the very hard of hearing. But it is not perfect. Not much use in very noisy environments. The Mic is designed to be clipped on an article of clothing so that it points toward the speakers mouth with its directional microphone. However, often the wearer's clothing is not stiff enough and the Mic flops around and won't stay pointed where it is supposed to point. They do supply a lanyard which hangs it some distance from the speakers mouth. Haven't had much experience using it as it is not as convenient to use as the clip. It does have an in-line feature and cable that allows the output of another device to be fed into your hearing aids. However, there is a known bug associated with trying to do this. The Mic is supposed automatically switch to the in-line mode when the cable jack is inserted into the Mic. However, this doesn't always happen - maybe one time out of 30 - and you hear nothing. Because it is relatively infrequent, it can be very confusing when this happens. Solution is to manually select the in-line mode. Simple, but you have to know about the potential problem first. Another Issue is the battery replacement - you can't replace the battery. They tell me it should last 5-6 years. Then you have to purchase a new Mic.These really are fairly minor issues for me, and I have found the Mic to generally be very useful.

It doesn't work until you go to the Smart 3D Resound App and activate
My audiologist would have charged $400, so this was half the price. At first I followed the instructions to pair and I got the musical tones to confirm I'd paired. But no sound came through. Retried several times. Video from the Resound site was no help. Then I noticed the red font notice on the "THANK YOU FOR YOUR PURCHASE" page (not the quick guide instruction page or the instruction booklet) underneath the links to Youtube, etc. that said: "Once paired, you must touch or click on the MultiMic Icon on your phone". Where was that icon? It was in the Smart 3D Resound App on the Home screen. Once I click the icon on the upper right the multi mic works. So I'll give the device 5 stars now as it seems to work, but the instructions that came from Resound are not complete for those of us setting up on our own without an audiologist.

Not working. Spoke to resound tech support and they wouldn't help
Resound customer care wouldn't help with the set up because these are not sold through an authorized audiologistWatching some you tub we were finally able to sync. But it does nothing to boost the hearing in the hearing aids.We will give it another day or so. If not we will be returning this for a refund

Amazingly improved sound clarity
I found the Resound Multi Mic to do much more than what it is described to do. Speech that I could bearly hear, is now as clear as hearing it over my Android cell phone. The original Multi Mic I got, I returned because I couldn't pair it. I updated the Resound app on my cell phone to include an image of the Multi Mic. I only have the Multi Mic for 1 day but am thrilled to be able to hear conversations from 8 to 10 feet away. A word of caution. Do not purchase this equipment unless you have a smartphone with the Resound app and you can pair the Multi Mic both to your hearing aids and to your cell phone.

Nice Resound Addition
A very useful microphone to use if my wide wants to be able to summon me when I am in the basement. The pickup on it is quite amazing.
