Star Ace Toys Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald: Newt Scamander with Bonus Coat 1: 6 Scale Collectible Action Figure

This is my first Star Ace Wizarding World figure. I normally collect Hot Toys and Sideshow but this Star Ace figure is almost just as good as them. The clothing is fantastic (pun intended) as well as all the accessories. The headsculpt bares a better likeness to the actor Eddie Redmayne, than the Hot toys version. And with this version, you get both his blue coat from the first movie and grey coat from the second; where as with Hot Toys you only get the grey coat for the look of the sequel. I will say however, this figure is only worth the sale price that I got it for ($151) and not the full retail price of $245. The paint while good is not up to Hot Toys standards and the hands lack any detail and are a little underscaled. But even with that, overall this is a quality figure that I’m happy to have in my collection and look forward to going back and adding more Star Ace Harry Potter figures.

The attention to detail is great! I had to take each piece out of the box to examine it and the finer points are covered - Newt is a bit disheveled in appearance - but very nattily dressed and beautifully tailored. The creatures/case are just perfect - they come alive!

The only thing I have to critique about is the fragility of the suitcase, as the handle snapped right off by applying a miniscule amount of force when putting it into Newt's hands. There are also some minor imperfections of the paint on his open left hand, but that may vary from product to product. Overall, it looks incredible, and I am still satisfied as I paid less than 200 dollars at the time of this review.
