We had pet hedgehogs before but this time our breeder suggested this food mix. The poo smell isn’t that noticeable and you can tell it’s higher quality foot because ours doesn’t have diarrhea or a runny mess. Very healthy for your pet!!

My little hedgehog loves this food, she eats it readily has gained good weight and I can show her off to my friends and say “look at my chubby Prik…zee!”

We have tried some other food for our dear little hedgie but this is all he likes. Actually, he did try another one and it gave him very wet poo. Anyway, this is what we like for him.

I’m not a hedgehog expert by any means. We received our little friend, Puck, from classroom pet after covid closed schools down last year. He came with cat food and dried worms. I did a lot of research to read up on appropriate ratios of macronutrients and fiber for hedgehogs and liked that this brand seemed to fit all categories. I’ve ordered twice now. Good quality. Sealed non-tampered bags. Not too much crushed or powdered product at the bottom. Lasts about at month and Puck doesn’t leave as much food behind as he used to with cat mix. He’ll usually start eating it as soon as I fill his bowl. He doesn’t even preferentially eat dried worms first over hedgehog meal blend which I’ve read are like hamburgers for hedgehogs. So all in all I’m pleased with purchase and Puck seems to be too! Will continue to buy.

I bought this as a new thing for my 3+ year old hedgehog. She'd previously been eating a high protein cat food but I thought I might try out something different for her. She apparently prefers this to her old food because if I put both into her cage for an evening, this will be gone and the cat food will be mostly untouched. I initially looked for different food as I wanted something softer for her as she had lost a canine tooth. This was the same hardness as the catfood but smaller pieces so maybe it's easier for her to chew on. When it came to her stool, which I deal with daily, it is softer now than it was on the cat food. I think this might be a bit better as she might be having an easier time doing her business but I don't know as I'm not a hedgehog expert by any means. One major thing I like is that it doesn't stink like cat food does. Kind of a small thing over all but cat food under a heat lamp is not a smell I enjoy by any means. I definitely don't get overwhelmed with the smell of this food when I come into a room. So, all in all, I think I will continue purchasing this food over her cat food. It's a bit more expensive but I think all the benefits outweigh the cost (which isn't that much higher).

Our hedgehog loves this food. She seems to enjoy it a lot as she comes to bowl as soon as feed each day. Gave four stars as I wish price was a little lower or bag large to last longer. Over all product seems great, very pleasing to Sage. She's happy.

I buy this for my hedgehog along with dried bugs, fruits and vegetables. He enjoys this food but he’s not picky.

I had tried different cat foods and kitty chows for my hedgehog. While the kitty chow was bit sized for him and he was under 1 years old ; the spike's delight fit his bigger size and bite strength (ouch!). Most importantly he has had no problem digesting spike's delight; with the added bonus of it not having a horrible fishy smell from cat food (even though there wasn't supposed to be fish ingredients!). A couple dried worms and 2 tablespoons of Spike's delight has become my little boys staple diet with no excess weight gain. Like with any new food slowly introduce into his usual food, and at some point only spike's delight. When he's hungry he'll eat. Now he can't stop.
