Wonderful teapot!
Seems tiny but holds plenty for a few cups of tea, which is all you need. Super convenient and functional as well as absolutely adorable. Stays hot for a long time! Throw a teabag into the mesh cup after water boils and you’re good. Take it out later and have nice hot tea. It’s great.

“The teapot is a symbol of friendship, of telling stories and confiding in each other.”
After two years of daily use of my current tea kettle it was time to purchase a new one. The handle was loose and could not be tightened making it a safety hazard. This is one of the many times I should have taken the time to read the item description. When I received my TOPTIER Japanese Cast Iron Teapot I was amazed at how small it is. It only holds one coffee mug of water. However because It’s so dang gone cute, I’m going to keep it. It’s the perfect size for because I’m the only person in my household that drinks tea.I gave it five stars for the quality and cuteness.

Cute tea pot
Its totally my fault. I did not pay attention. The tea pots it only big enough for 1 cup of tea but it's perfect.

Adorable
I opened the box and lifted the teapot out and a huge smile was put on my face. It is so adorable. Exactly what I was looking for. It's heavy as cast iron is naturally, so make sure you understand how to clean it and dry it. Prone to rust just like any of the cast iron pans that our mothers and grandmothers have used for years. This is something you pass down to children and never goes to the dump. Beautiful, adorable and so cute. Very small makes about 10-12 oz. Nostalgia.

Very solid construction, great price.
I love the heavy weight and solid construction of this teapot. The color is the perfect shade of minty teal and the gold is a nice accent. It seems to be very quality cast iron, the handle is very solid and I appreciate how it connects to the pot itself. The bottom is very flat, the teapot does not wobble which is great because I have an electric cermaic flat-top stove (yes you can use cast iron on these stove tops just be very careful not to drop the cast iron or drag it across the surface, it will heat much more quickly than a gas cook top so be mindful of that also).Do not use soap or any type of abrasive on the outside of this tea-pot. I will try to post another photo after using this one for a month and washing with warm water and a sponge. You can use soap on the ceramic inside but it's not necessary unless you leave tea in there for days and it gets moldy. My only complaint so far is that the lid doesn't quite fit snuggly, especially when you use the tea basket, just be mindful of this when you pour it and hold the lid with a tea towel or pot holder. The handle does a very good job of staying upright on its own, if you leave it lifted up while heating on the stove top if won't burn your hands as it would if you left it down touching the pot itself. Still, it's metal, so if you leave it on longer to boil, just use potholders or towels always to be safe.Overall very happy with my tea pot.

Paint is cracking on the lid.
It works as a kettle, sure. I’ve only used mild, unscented soap on the inside when it first arrived. Since, I’ve only left it open to evaporate while still hot. Water has never been left to sit in or on the lid and no soap or sponge has ever been used on it. Yet, everywhere it looks like it’s cracking off in the photo, it is. The pot is still in good shape. It still works, but very disappointing. 🙁

Near Daily Use for Years, Lovely Kettle
I bought this probably 2 years now and it quickly became my trusty teapot for every cup of tea brewed. The outer cast iron is beautiful, and the interior is easy to clean. I can fill with enough water for just a cup, or fill it to capacity for several cups worth when I'm sharing tea with others. Sometimes I throw a teabag into the pot, or put looseleaf tea into the removable cage. Other times I use it just for boiling the water. It functions great as a stovetop kettle, the cast iron stands up to the heat. If you leave it boiling for too long, grab the handle with a cloth, as it will eventually heat too hot to touch, though I usually get to it before it gets too hot to grab. As long as you set it on a trivet or hot pad, it transitions seamlessly to a beautiful serving pot.I am very used to cooking with and cleaning cast iron, so rust has not been an issue for me. I usually don't even bother wiping the exterior dry. The only discoloration I ever see is along the rim under the lid, and I can wipe it off with a finger. I almost always rinse it clean with cool water only, swirling it around the interior and pouring it out the spout, occasionally wiping the interior with a soapless sponge and brush for the spout, then left upside down to air dry. This teapot gets CONSTANT use in my kitchen, and it holds up like a champ. Absolutely love it. Would buy again!
