Q: How do you change these? Mine didn't come with the attachments on the ends.

You can remove the connectors from the old unit and reinstall on the new one. Be sure to wrap them with teflon tape or they will probably leak. If you prefer you can purchase two new connectors from your local hardware store or search for these on Amazon: Watts PL-3005 Push Male Adapter, 1/4-Inch OD x 1/4-Inch MIP.

Q: I have well water with no chlorine. I assume I would not need the carbon cartridge or at least not need to change it hardly at all?

We still recommend you use the cartridge and change every 6 months. It removes other chemicals harmful to your aquarium.

What you hear is likely the pieces of carbon inside the filter.

Q: Are these refillable or do I need to buy another one?

Need to buy a new one every time. Only the Membrane filter can be replaced. Both Carbon and Sediment have to be thrown away and replaced every time.

use this in a portable RO system for salt water aquarium. even after running city water thru an activated carbon filter, the nitrate/nitrites were too high & fish started dying. since started with RO system no more problems
