16oz Hand Poured Soy Candle from Goliad Candle Co. (Leather)

One positive - it burns evenly.Other than that, I was very unhappy with this candle. I love love love Peach and would love it if the whole world smelled like peach. I had high hopes for this candle, based on the other reviews. Perhaps that was my mistake. I let it burn in one room for quite a while and it just smelled like wax. I wanted to give it a fair shake, so I took it to a very small room and closed the door allowing it to burn for another hour plus. Still - just smelled like burning wax.When I smelled it in the jar, it had a very scant smell of peach before lighting it, though. I did like that it burned evenly. Admittedly I'm not a candle expert but I find that so many candles just burn straight down the middle, leaving a thick wall of unburned wax around it and no way to get the whole thing to melt. This one burned all the way to the outside of the container the whole time it was lit. I just wish it smelled like peaches. I used to buy peach candles, so I know it's possible. I just need to find another source for peach candles.

I love the clean burning scent of this candle. I was a tad concerned because one reviewer mentioned that it was almost medicinal smelling, and the first or second burning of this candle I could smell exactly what the reviewer meant. This is not unpleasant to me, and the longer it burns, the more it disappears. By my fourth or fifth lighting, I notice that this scent mellowed to the point where I no longer smelled that medicinal smell. A great candle for the money, and I love the blue check cloth that comes with it! Would recommend!

Gorgeous candle! Great scent. Burns clean releasing a beautiful rose scent.Contrary to other reviews, my candle was wrapped very securely in lots of bubble wrap and arrived in perfect condition.The candle would make a lovely gift . It comes with cheery yellow gingham cloth under the lid.

I only bought this candle because I thought it would smell like bananas (isn't bananas what monkeys like to eat?) but it doesn't; it smells like mango which is not bad but it's a scent I could've gotten most anywhere else whereas bananas is a candle scent impossible to find.

Sweet candle in a mason jar, nice little gingham on the top, It smells wonderful--just like butterscotch, but not overly so, and not synthetic smelling. The only little issue I have is that the one that I have received is very bubbly and cloudy. Looks like maybe it's old, or was sitting in the sun or something. I'll keep it though, I'm sure it will light and burn nicely.

although this candle has the most wonderful smell its packaging was terrible. my candle arrived in a hundred pieces. the only good thing that came out of it was since its such a fresh poured candle the wax was so soft i was able to transfer it to another old jar i had at home. after squishing it in i was able to enjoy this candle. it smells so good it didnt want to go through the hassle of returning it. just be careful! if you can smell it in your mailbox it may be broken...

I bought two different orders of these - two candles each order - one jar in each order was broken - of course when I found this out the return time had run out - the smell is good and the price is cheaper than Yankee but now I have two jars that just sit there

What a disappointment. Won't be buying this brand again. I've tried quite a few candles from different companies and this just had no scent. Maybe the contents came from a weak batch but it was a waste of money.
