Main features This tea was made for hunters and travelers. It's easy to transport, easy to brew. It can be stored for years without becoming stale For hundreds of years brick tea was most popular tea shape among nomads of Eurasia and was the first form of tea exported from China to the West. We modified this traditional Chinese tea form in order to make it more convenient for brewing: the brick is divided into 24 squares, similar to chocolate bar. Each square weights approx. 0.14 oz. (4 g) and is good for brewing more than 1 pint of tea. Type of tea: Raw Pu erh Tea (普洱生茶 puer shengcha, sheng puerh tea, te puerh, te verde chino) – naturally post-fermenting tea produced from sun-dried loose green tea in designated areas of Yunnan Province. Leaf: Blend of natural, hand-picked Yunnan big-leaf tea (daye varietal) grown in Yiwu region of Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province Taste profile: gentle, mild with hints of dried fruits

Great delicate flavor.
I'm not going to attempt to give a thorough description the flavor of this tea as I don't feel I can do so adequately. However, I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed this product, just as I did each of the other two teas from this company; one having been a gift! For the taste, I will say that it is a bit stronger than your basic green tea. It has a rather strong presence. Somehow, however, the tea still maintains a delicate flavor. I won't claim it as my favorite. Perhaps I have the tastes of someone who is ignorant of what is considered "quality" tea, but I greatly enjoy the decaf green tea I pickup up in the grocery. I wouldn't hesitate to drink this however and intend to continue buying teas from this producer/merchant.

Excellent gong fu session tea
The flavor was a bit bitter, but not unpleasantly so. Enough to be noticed. The "chocolate bar" pressing is interesting, and does portion the tea leaf nicely. However it is a bit more difficult than I would like to break apart by hand.Good grassy, floral notes in the flavor. Especially around the third or fourth brew. excellent energy. Made for a smooth and mellow contemplative tea buzz.

Meh at best
Liked their black tea, not a huge fan of this green though. Also doesn't always release and expand in like it should which give poor diffusion.

I would buy this again, better than expected
I am by no means a puer expert, but I have been drinking it for over a decade. This sheng is very smooth with no rough edges, and it has a very faint smokiness on the initial brew, with increasing sweetness and textural fullness with subsequent brews. One thing I was surprised at was how small the amount of tea was (roughly a brick the size of an iPhone), but the quality is there, so I can't complain.

Good tasting - not fishy
Quite good puerh tea. I’ve tried so many to find a similar taste like David’s tea sold a long time ago. This one is close. But wish the squares were a bit bigger. I need 1.5 for a 2 cup pot to make it strong enough. Very easy to break apart with your fingers though. Not like some others that are as hard as cement. Would be convenient to take along wherever you go.
