I love it,,, now all amazon needs to do is sell spare time so I can work on my hobbies cause once again I have over loaded myself with work and to many pokers in the fire. But the papyrus works Great with ALL mediums,,,pencil, pens(all types,,, dip, fountain, gel, colored mechanical etc,etc). Just take ur time with it and all things will come together for u.

Awesome, perfect for homeschooling study of Egypt. The sheets are larger size than regular sheets of binder paper. We cut a few into strips and made book marks for friends and family. Writing names in heiroglyphs and using acrylic paints to color them. Each sheet made six book marks. There were small squares of the hieroglyphic alphabet, one per sheet so if you had a group of kids, each one could have their own sheet to reference for their writings. The envelope has a history of papyrus written on one side and the alphabet on the other. This was well worth the price, and my daughter was suddenly more interested than ever before in her study of the Egyptians. Having a papyrus to write hieroglyphs on gave her a connection with Egypt and made all of the history far more real to her. Fun, great quality, fast delivery, highly recommend.

My granddaughter painted hieroglyphics on a piece of this papyrus. She gave a presentation in her Classical Conversations class on how papyrus is made and explained the meaning of some Egyptian symbols. She then passed out sheets of the papyrus to the other students. It was a big hit!

Real woven papyrus with lots of character and glorious texture. Good teaching bundle as you can feel the difference in texture and thickness from page to page. Mine arrived somewhat curled, which is to be expected considering what it is. The only "down side" is that the pages are machine cut, so they have "perfect" machined edges, as opposed to the natural jagged edges one would expect. In my package, one page had been pulled through the cutter on an odd angle. You can see it in the picture. Still usable. :) I read in some reviews that people didn't like the scent of the papyrus. Didn't smell bad to me. Smelled a bit like straw or hay. (Shocker, eh?) Darn that natural scent. :D

A must for teachers who want their students to experience a product used for centuries. I purchase papyrus every year for classical language courses. Colleagues who teach courses in the Fine Arts dept. "borrow" my papyrus and pens to offer their students a hands-on lesson. Students love it. I recently purchased another batch so our club could offer a public service event to children who will receive a short lesson on how papyrus is made before they write and draw on pieces of it. This paper easily can be cut with scissors and my students use gel pens, felt-tipped and regular calligraphy pens, colored pencils, regular pencils, sparkle pens, and fine-point felt markers to create images and text. The results are beautiful and rewarding. I also have hot-glued pieces of papyrus on envelopes where I have written the recipients names for special occasions. These were hand-delivered, not mailed. This company mails its product promptly and it is well-packaged and arrives undamaged. I am very pleased with this company's product and service.
