Philips LED Appliance Clear T7 Light Bulb: 2800-Kelvin, 15-Watt, Intermediate Base

Ordered this because my apartment had a blub go out beneath the microwave. Screwed this in and it worked instantly!

This was for my Sanyo microwave (circa 1990's) to replace the part number 6171880205. The specs for the (original) bulb say that it is 20 watts. But this seems to work just fine- no fires yet! Replacement isn't too bad: Remove the rear screws on the oven and pull off the outer sheet metal. For my oven, the sub-housing holding the bulb socket was held in place by clips. So it was a matter of a little bit of prying to get to the bulb itself. Altogether, it was about a 15 minute job.

I just replaced the bulb in my microwave so bought 2 more to have as replacements. This fits, it works, and I always have a backup.

Nice lightbulb. My mistake is that I bought this for lava lamp. And although it matches perfectly (size, wattage) - it generates less heat than my older T7 light bulb. So "lava" doesn't bubble as much as it used to. I guess it's good for appliances, since the lamp is bright and energy efficient with less thermal dissipation.

Required for light over cooking surface of my stove. The Philips seem to last a bit longer than some of the others, but still burn out every couple years.

I recommend this light bulb because they had the ones I was looking for with the best price. When one of the bulbs that I ordered came damaged, Hearthshire (the seller) was wonderful because the person from customer service walked me through how to get the bulb replaced at no cost to me. I recommend ordering from this seller!

After using GE bulbs for several years (in a GE spacesaver) and having these bulbs consistently burning out very quickly (sometimes the first day!) I went on line. I discovered several other people had the same problem; we thought it was the microwave. Anyway, we tried these based on reviews, and so far, NO problems. They last a long time. I've yet to have one burn out, and the light is on all night and sometimes during the day. The GE bulbs were a regular on my shopping list as they were easy to pick up in the grocery store. I will never use another GE bulb again - also, the 40 and 60 watt regular bulbs burn out quickly on our small light above the sink. I'm going to try a Philips bulb.

It fits, came quickly and lights up our menu choices. Now to find a home for all the others I ordered that were the wrong size . . .

This bulb is the perfect replacement part for a Panasonic microwave...BUT .... ..but you need to replace the stupid OEM combo : socket+brazed bulb in order to use it. So : first : buy a socket . Then, buy this bulb. And NOW you don't have to change the whole thing each time it burns: just change the bulb :-) This is the socket to buy: GE WB08X10016 Genuine OEM Light Socket for GE Microwaves GE ( general electric) and Panasonic share the same socket.

Had difficulty finding the correct size bulb replacement for the Cooktop/Night Light in my Panasonic microwave. This is the correct size and did not need to replace socket as one reviewer mentioned. Not using long enough to rate longevity.
