Updated Review After New CD Player Received
I received the replacement CD player within a few days after submitting my request. The new one worked really well. We had no problems with it at all. My Dad was very happy with it. He loves being able to listen to all of his CDs in the car, especially while he's traveling. I was really happy with the quick response and the fact that they gave me absolutely zero problems with replacing it. Great customer service! Thanks!This portable CD player was purchased as a gift for my Dad for Christmas. I bought it because it was advertised as a great CD player to use in the car. Since his car did not come with one, I thought this would make the perfect gift. Unfortunately, it did not work on arrival. It would spin and then produce two dash marks that turn into an "ERR" message every time. It never showed the track number, and it never played a single CD for us. We tried both old and new CDs. On the bright side, it arrived fairly quickly, and appeared to be packaged sufficiently. It came with a set of batteries, head phones and ear buds. I just requested a replacement, so I will do another review when that item is received.

poor quality
almost got through 2 whole cd's before it started skipping, then stopped for no reason. I started it over a few times with difficulty, and got to listen to a cd start over 4 times. Piece of junk for the almost 40 bucks I paid. I had an insignia before, and it crapped out soon also, I should have known. Anti shock protection? I touched it wrong and it skipped. Dont waste your money on Insignia, this is the second one Ive bought, both suck.

Headphones broke in in half the 1st day. Second time it would not work.
I just received the CD player today. The headphones were very small and I am a petite woman with an average to small head. The headphones broke in two. However I can use the ear buds. So it worked one day a few weeks ago and today it will not work. I tried new batteries , reread instruction and had two other people take try to make it work. It is defective. I am very disappointed! This is worst item I ever purchased from Amazon. I would rate this a 0 if I could

Stopped working
After two weeks this cd player simply stopped working. Just died. The second INSIGNIA CD player that has done this. The return window closed 5 days ago, so I cannot return it. Instead, I am going to smash it to pieces with a hammer and throw it away.DO NOT BUY> DO NOT BUY> DO NOT BUY INSIGNIA!!!

Durability
The product was delivered in a timely manner. Excellent condition, sound quality was great, equipment in original package.

Decent device.
Works as expected. Bought for my kids to listen to audio books on a road trip. They loved it. Like all portable CD players it can skip if not handled gently.

I’m old school and still make CD’s. I love this product!!! Works great and head phones are great!!

Vastly disappointed in product.
It is a CD player; I was looking forward to having one, so I could have music with me and not have to listen to someone else with their music. The player was a DUD!
