EasyCare Easyboot Rx Therapy Hoof Boot 1

I have used these boots many times beforehand in a size 3. I needed a smaller size for my mare. These are so well made and my horse seems very comfortable when she has them on.

Once I got the correct size boot is went on easier. However, it only lasted a few days and before it was ruined. Our horse was not turned out in the pasture, either, just in a small pen.

It took meet about two weeks to get my horses hovestrimmed down enough to get these boots on. And after that it only three days of use with these boots for them to Fall apart. The back bottom of the boots came apart where it's put together. With these things costing 72$ a piece I expected them to last a little longer but since everything is made in China why would they. Needless to say I'm pissed

These boots have a made ALL the difference for my mare. She had foundered at 21 years old and had a lot of pain in her front hooves. We were working with a farrier and a vet but in waiting for her feet to grow out enough and be healthy enough to hold a shoe, she was in pain being barefoot. She was limping terribly while barefoot. I bought these boots and also 12mm pads to go inside them. These boots have saved my mare. She walks with no pain at all. I can't express my love for this product! It is worth the money. Fits great and stays on even in pasture turnout. I put a regular calf length sock over her hoof to go inside the boot to cut down on rubbing and sweat sludge. Without these I don't know if my mare would've pulled thru.

This boot is sturdy, my horse was unable to tear it or otherwise make it unusable & that is her thing to do. I always know that when I put it on her it will stay put.

I am using these boots on an older App stallion to help him recover from laminitis. I have used them before on clients' horses for the same purpose, and seen wonderful results. What I appreciate most about the Rx is that it is so EASY to get on and off (unlike other "Easy"care products!). They slip on to the hoof with no problem, the heavy duty Velcro holds them on well, and, most importantly, they pull right off!! I love the "contour" pads in the bottom to help support the coffin bone as well. We have used Castle frog support pads inside of these as well, when extra support is needed. Check the website and get your measurements right (on a freshly trimmed hoof), then keep the hoof trimmed during recovery.

Really great durable boot for protecting a bruised or injured sole. And you don't have to be a strong man to get them on. The velcro closures are easy to adjust and hold the boot on very well. What a great innovation!

Mare with laminitis took 2 tentative steps in these boots, and walked off like normal. Took them off 10 days later and she has been comfortable since. Great for increasing her comfort short term, and protecting her feet while the inflammation receeded.
