The KNIPEX Cobra Water Pump Pliers (8701250) are fantastic! The 10-inch size is perfect for getting a good grip on both smaller and medium-sized pipes. The adjustable jaw allows for quick and easy adjustments, which means you can use them for a variety of tasks. The grip is super comfortable, and the ergonomic design ensures that you don’t get tired after extended use. The build quality is solid—these pliers feel sturdy and durable, and the red handles not only look great but also provide a non-slip grip, even when your hands are a little sweaty. I’ve used them for everything from plumbing jobs to automotive repairs, and they’ve held up perfectly. Reliable and Durable Forged Pliers
Why did you pick this product vs others?: These pliers boast incredible durability, clearly standing out as well-forged tools built to last. Unlike cheaper cast metal alternatives, these pliers are solid, capable of handling heavy-duty tasks beyond their size. Their smart engineering allows for easy adjustment to different workpieces, with a user-friendly design that minimizes the need for a strong grip. Surprisingly light and slim, they can be conveniently carried even in the smallest pockets. I personally store mine in a compact organizer along with other essentials like a Swiss Army Knife and flashlight. These pliers have proven their worth in various situations, including assisting with tasks like removing a car battery. Despite regular exposure to water and sweat, they have shown no signs of rust thanks to simple maintenance routines. While the initial cost may seem high, the exceptional durability and quality craftsmanship make them a long-term investment without the need for frequent replacements.

Keys? Check. Wallet? Check. 4” Knipex? Yep.
I’m an older woman, and my hands just do not grip like they used to. I’ve carried a tiny Gerber mini-multitool with pliers for a few years, but these are so much more powerful and useful that I now carry them, and keep the multitool only for its knife, awl and screwdriver. Forced to choose, these would be No. 1. They handle big jobs, but are tooled so well that they can serve as tweezers in a pinch (pun intended).

Good EDC size
Drops in to the left tool pocket of my work dungarees without being too long and sticking out to catch on anything or being too short to retrieve from the pocket easily. Opens far enough to get on a 1" bolt head or grip anything tubular up to 1" outer diameter. Smart design that only requires pressure on the back handle to retain its grip on whatever you're working on. There's one size smaller than this, but I found it to be just a little too small to be very useful. I also own the 5 inch Knipex Pliers Wrench. I carry this and the pliers wrench at work because I connect and disconnect hydraulic lines fairly regularly and need two pliers to do it. But, just for around the house or other places I might go when not at work, I just carry this one. It's a pretty good general tool that can do anything from tighten a garden hose connector to tear out that pop can lid that didn't open right.

Great product
I have a small homestead in central Florida and needed a pair of pliers to help when I move hoses. The grip is great. Easy to operate. They might seem a little pricey for their size but you won’t be disappointed.

Why shop around. Nothing comes close quality/priccewise.
These are extreme workhorses to any guys in mechanical trades. Small? Covered. Medium? They will do it. I'll use them on stuff up to 3/4" if theres not a load. No flex, no bend, no break, tiny give, just like tool steel oughta be. Adjustments? All of them. There isn't a better pair out there for general purpose, just size accordingly and don't write off the small ones, they fit and grip. Does seperate the grunts from the tradesmen.
