Water Rover Smaller 3-Inch Bowl and 8-Ounce Bottle, Dark Blue

It's a fantastic idea! *but not durable.* I had my first one for a number of years, but the pull plug finally broke. I bought my second one 6 months ago, used it just a handful of times, and there is already a crack at the spout in the bowl, causing it to leak slowly. Also, I just realized I paid over $5 shipping for this item, bringing it to nearly $20. Not impressed.

My dog and I love this bowl. She's a 7.5 lbs terrier. We use this for hiking and camping. It's extremely handy. My only issue is the plastic strap the connects the plug to the bowl cracks and breaks free. This is my second one. My first one's plug broke free and I lost it. I'd only been camping for about three weeks so I don't think I was really plugging it and unplugging it that often.

My dog is a medium sized 17 pound fluffy guy- i would suggest you go with the next sized bottle. 3 inch bottle turned out to be a bit small, but i manage. The only great thing about this size is that it fits in my small purse!About the Bottle:Sometimes you don't want the water from the bowl to go back into the bottle because of mud/dirt- all you have to do is close the bottle cap and throw out the water from the attached bowl. But if the water is clean after your dog drinks it, hold the bottle in an upright position and the water automatically goes back in! It's so simple- it conserves water and it's light weight- totally worth it!

Great bottle to take on long hot walks. I like that water is not wasted because whatever your dog does not drink, can be put back in the bottle and you don't have to worry about running out of water before your walk is finished. Plastic does wear down from all the bending on the stopper after about a year, but at this great price, its no big deal just to order another one.

IMO this the best water bottle on the market with respect to functionality. It feels solid an you can retract water into the bottle from the bowl.The reason why I'm not giving it 5 stars is the fact that the plastic part that bends to cover the hole/spout continually breaks. I've literally bought four of these bottles in the past 6 years since that piece always breaks. It seems to me this is planned obsolescence so you keep buying the product over and over.Update @ 12-2015After the latest "hinge" broke again came online to purchase another one. it seems that prices have gone up!I'm giving up on this design altogether and will purchase a water dispenswer that's sturdier and longer lasting.

This is a fantastic thing to have if you are walking a Shih Tzu or other dog with small nose. In the hot weather we had to limit our walks because ours was panting so much. Once I purchased this we could walk longer because she could hydrate along the way. It's a wonderful thing to have for your pet. It easily attaches to a belt or back pocket so you have it with you but out of the way. I've recommended it to several people who reported they were very pleased with theirs also.

Great for an afternoon at the beach with the dog. My only complaint is that it can be awkward to carry, so I am forced to carry a mini-backpack to put my dog's water inside. Doesn't leak, easy to fill and open and the dog loves it. The dog knows when I pull the item of the bag it is time for a fresh drink.

Have had current Water Rover for seven years with absolutely no problems. Decided to buy a new one as the original was starting to show wear (no surprise, as we use it every day). Received new one, opened stopper to check operation and the plastic "hinge" immediately failed. It would appear that the manufacturer has gone to new plastic formulation without follow on product testing. Would not recommend, at this time, purchase of this product.I would have given this a "0" rating, but was forced to award one star to get review accepted.

I love this product. No wasted water while walking as the water goes back into the bottle. Also use it for travelling in the car or in a hotel instead of a water bowl. Bottle fits in most car cup holders. Easy to clean and refill.

I purchased this because I had seen somebody using one of these in the dog park. Such a clever way to get my pooch to drink her water my only complaint (and this is my fault because I ordered the wrong size) is that the ball was minuscule.

Very well thought out & very handy. Clip doesn't stay hooked on very well, but so useful for not wasting water if your dog doesn't drink it all as it can just be tipped back in.

Bought a second time! Don't have to hold it or squeeze it. Just tip it! Can be used in hand or on the ground. When drink time is over, stand it up and water goes back in the bottle. Easy!

Bought this to take on walks with my dogs. They both love it and drink from it. The small one is perfect to carry or clip onto a belt or your pants.
