Travel rod with great action.
Love the action on this fly rod. Light and just the perfect flex for a wide variety of fishing conditions. Balanced feel even though I’m currently using a reel that is slightly larger than the 5wt rod weight. The case is nice and protects the rod. I keep it in my truck all the time now. I’ve used my Reddington saltwater reel for the last 10 years and have come to appreciate their quality. So far this rod has lived up to the reputation.

Packs a punch.
I bought this 3 weight with mind for it being a backpacking and stream fishing rod, now I sort of regret not buying it in a larger and more versatile 5 weight. Maybe I will buy another. What I can say is this rod really lived up to expectations. I cast so well with this, its like the designed it just for me. I was unsure when entering the fly fishing world what to do, and buy, but some names came up and Redington is one. I really like this rod. If you have a chance to try one, I'd say to do it, I don't think you will be disappointed.

like 6 inches of the rod just broke off from when i was literally just pulling some line out.
ridiculous. I've owned this rod for like 2 months, and 6 inches of the top half just snapped off when I was pulling some line out.

Great Rod!
This is a great rod for the price. Took it out for its first trip last weekend on the Rogue River. I used it to cast a dual dry fly set up. It handled the 8-10 inch rainbows and browns I caught with no problem and its light weight made it really fun. It even handled the this 15' brown with no problem. This would make a great starter rod for some one getting into fly fishing.

great Rod for the right fish
Took to Alaska and it was my salmon and big trout rod. Had a spey rod and this one, the Green Dragon for the big fish. Attached a Piscifun fly reel, good line and we caught a large number of agressive 5 - 12 lb fish. I'd buy again if I break it.

Look no further.
Love everything about this rod. Very impressed with it's accuracy and the included hardshell case is top notch. Why spend thousands on a different brand when the quality of this rod is just as good as any I have used over the years.
