NOTE: The top took a little bit of coaxing to attach to the upright so the holes would line up for the screw but it wasn't hard. In fact, I pushed it once and it popped right on.I've wanted an Ott light for ages and now I have one and I love it. All the different settings are great and the light is bright and clear. I use the daylight setting. It adjusts nicely and holds its position, unlike the old drafting table clamp lights. It's unobtrusive/out of the way, sturdier, and more attractive than the old style as well.I love that it doesn't put out all the heat a regular light does since I do use it on my drafting table and prefer that my face and head not be roasted while I am trying to work.

I bought this for my wife to light up the table where she does jigsaw puzzles. It clamps firmly to the edge of the table, flexes to where she needs it and provides plenty of bright but comfortable light.

I wanted to illuminate my oil painting mixing pallet separately from canvas and the main issue is none of the settings correctly brighten the hues. They all mess with the temperature of the color -- a big no no in my book. What happens is that the paint color/hue is either cooled (daylight setting) and warmed to harshly compared to my ambient light. You can mix color under this and then place it on the canvas as there is start difference. If it was only a value shift, then sure it would have been fine. But its worse, there is a temperature change. In my test of Cad. Red Light on my canvas it would be the correct bright/orange red but under the light is shifts not only a bit lighter/brighter but also more towards Orange! This light is probably fine if all you doing is painting/draw under it (small work), or if your ambient light temperature for your whole room matches this light. Really wanted this to work for me but going to return it. Not a bad product, just very niche.

So far, this light has been so much better than the one I bought several years old. The new one has no glare for my partner sitting behind it. Nor on the television across the room. I haven't had to adjust it daily like my last one either. It just sits there and I knit! My last one still had some light left in the bulb, but the button gave up. I love this new one so far!

What I like about the 0ttlite is that it securely clips on to the table lip. Not taking up any tabletop space. I was a little mislead when purchased. It says it's made in the US, on line. After opening the light, the sticker said made in China. I would have sent it back, but u know that's a pain in the A__. So I kept it and do like it.

My very old, very expensive easel lamp broke the other night. I found this one on Amazon and ordered. For the price, I had pretty low expectations. But this thing is NIIIIICE. It did take a little extra oomph to get the shade to connect to the body housing. But very secure. Clamps to my Richeson easel perfectly.

this light is perfect for doing my art work and fine details. not too bright, easy on the eyes over 5-6 hours when I spend time working on my art. There are 3 different bright choices. easy on off.

This light is fantastic. The light is very nice and bright. I like that even after hours of use my eyes don’t hurt from the light. I use it over my sewing machine. It clamps to my sewing table very nicely. I would recommend this light highly.

This is a children's learning lamp. I read a lot of reviews saying this brand is good. There were a few hiccups during the installation, but it worked out in the end. The lighting is good with a choice of slight lighting in different colours. Light coverage is decent.

This is an extremely high quality and a gorgeous lamp! I highly recommend it!

I am usually happy with Ottlite products. However, this lamp was defective and didn't work. When I returned it, not only did I have to pay the postage myself ($27.28), but Triplenet Pricing then charged me $20.79 for THEIR shipping cost. So I lost $48 trying to purchase one of their products. DO NOT BUY.

Very neat, slender and convenient. The neck is not as sturdy as I would like but perhaps that's the tradeoff for having it so slender.
