Ultrasonic Cleaner 30L Large Ultrasonic Cleaning Machine SUS 304 with Digital Timer and Heater

Pros:1) Good size for holding large items or a greater quantity of smaller items.2) Not obnoxiously loud or irritating to listen to - but see the cons list for a possible reason.3) Drain with shut off valve is convenient. (No leaks found as of yet.)4) The heating units for this model are rated at 500 watts. Bench testing showed actual wattage at just over 500 watts. PASSED.Cons:1) The ultrasonic units for this model are rated at 600 watts. Bench testing shows actual wattage is only 380 watts. That is only 63% of the power the manufacturer claims this unit has. FAILED! That is 220 watts of power I paid for but I am not getting. Possibly the reason it's not as loud as I expected it to be...2) No strainer/grate over the inner drain, just an open pipe fitting. Very small parts/pieces can go down the drain possibly losing them or clogging the drain and/or jamming up the ball valve.3) Very cheaply made, very THIN GAGE wire basket for the tank appears like it would bend if you look at it too hard. Putting anything over 2-3 lbs of weight in it will likely tear it apart in my opinion.4) The lid for the tank is also very thin gage sheet metal - but it's basically nothing more than a dust cover anyway, so not a big concern.

With that said, as seen in the pictures and video, I had 2 snowmobile carburetors that had sat for 17 years and were in very rough shape internally. After roughly an hour in the ultrasonic cleaner, they were in pretty good shape. I did need to use a wire brush on a few of the really bad spots but the cleaner did the bulk of the work.I used roughly 1 gallon of water mixed with 1/4 cup Simple Green Aviation cleaner that I also purchased on Amazon. I used that product because I knew I would be cleaning aluminum, and figured since aircraft are basically all aluminum, it'd be a good product for me.Overall, I'm very pleased with this cleaner. It's rare something like this lives up to expectations, but truthfully this has. I've since used it to clean tools, auto parts, etc., basically whatever is dirty and can fit inside the tank.I hope this review was helpful. Good luck with whatever project you've got going. Also, I always edit my reviews if something changes. If the cleaner quits working, or even if it's still doing a great job a year later, I will be sure to let you know. It's currently February of 2020.

I'm a master goldsmith and have to say, This ultrasonic is perfect. The jewelery supply houses charge 150% more for a product that isn't as strong as this ultrasonic. The price seems cheep but don't let that fool you. The Hz. Output is higher as well as the running amps. In short the closest comparison cost well over $500 from supply stores. Trust me on this one, One of the best I've ever owned.

So, I bought this for my husband to clean his CPAP mask and some other items. I got this one specifically because it would fit the ResMed full sized mask that covers the mouth and nose. Wow !! It works. I filled the tank with warm water, added about three tablespoons of salt and about 6 drops of dawn detergent. Set the timer for 20 minutes, let put the mask in and let it run. it is a bit noisy, but that does not bother me, and lets me know it is working. When it was done, I emptied the tank and put fresh water in it and put the mask back into it and ran for an additional 20 minutes to make sure that all the soap was rinsed off of it, because of fears associated with inhaling a surfactant, and damage to lung tissue. The mask came out clean and fresh smelling. No face oils left, no smell, worked like a dream.Caution: My husband decided to try using it on one of his pistols. The pistol was a really nice blued weapon. The cleaner removed the bluing off the weapon. Opps. I was not there when they did this, but I think he said that they used vinegar and water as a cleaner.Thankfully, we have a friend that knows how to re-blue the weapon, but what a pain. Do not use this to clean blued weapons, it will remove the bluing and leave the weapon blotched and mottled.

Pretty sure I got a used unit. There was grease in the drain prior to any use. I've attached pictures of the junk I removed from the drain with a poke tool and q tips.

I bought this to clean old relics and finds from metal detecting. It works good on everything I have thrown in there. Highly recommend it, as of 1/1/18 and have been using almost daily for about a month.

This ultra sonic cleaner was received damaged, and it didn't happen in transit. Poor quality control. Should have never made it into the box. Disappointing to open the box and see that. It may not have affected the performance, but there is no reason that it should be sold as new in this condition.

I cleaned a fairly dirty chrome carburetor and it now looks brand new. cleaning solution was Crud Cutter and water. This seemed to work well. I did have to use a toothbrush on an area that had some carbon/dirt build up.
