Unconventional And Effective
This device allowed me to seat the beads of 4 16" tires on 7" width wheels when other methods had failed. The AME bead seater I received did not come with instructions. Internet videos are available that depict bead seating using this method and inflated bicycle tire tubes, and those videos apply to this device as well. Liberal lubrication of the AME ring (or tire tube) as well as the wheel rim and tire bead surface is essential for this method to work. I used bath soap suds applied with a paint brush, but there are other options including commercial tire installation lubricants.

Waste of money
Will close the gap and set a tire, will not push out like it's supposed to. Ends up crushed between tire and rim, no matter how much lube is used

Bead sealer
The picture is very deceptive shows 2 pieces when in fact you get one.

Works... Sometimes
So, these work, but they don't always work. I've used them in the past with good results. Read the instructions, and use real tire mounting lube, not soapy water or just water. Too much, it'll pop out too soon and you lose the bead, not enough they get stuck. Also, if your tires have a very aggressive/deep rim guard, (sidewall that overhangs the lip of the wheel to protect it) that will most likely trap this tool. I bought this to attempt to mount a stubborn set of military surplus tires and their rim guard area has this issue. I got one to bead by luck, I was able to yank the tool out of the bead and not lose it but I had no such luck on subsequent tires that kept trapping the bead seater. I'll keep it around, I'm sure it'll work on other tires with more normal sidewall designs.

Worked
Cheetah tank was just not quite able to seat the beads. I was struggling with several HUMVEE tires (16.5”). The bead seater would initially get stuck using just soapy water as a lube .After switching to a silicone lube it then worked great.Lubed Bead seater in place With the Valve core removed, and a high flow air gun on the stem, It was now an easy job. No cheetah tank needed.

Worked great
Worked really well on my 22.5 truck tires. Just make sure you lube the tube and tire bead. I also lubed up the sidewall a little. A lot easier than trying to operate air cannon and inflator at same time.
