Gardiners of Scotland Handmade Fudge 250g Tin, Glenfarclas Highland Malt Whisky Fudge

I purchased both this Glenfarcas and the Tobermory fudge at the same time. I've never had either variety of Scotch, so I don't know their characters outside of their inclusion in this candy. While I liked the Tobermory fudge's flavor -- along with the very obvious Scotch aroma when opening the tin -- the Glenfarcas left me a little underwhelmed. If I had to guess, I'd say that the Glenfarcas is a very smooth, light Scotch that's easy to enjoy neat while the Tobermory probably has a stronger, more complex flavor that some might find too "strong" but that I'd probably enjoy neat.As to some reviewers' confusion of the word "fudge" with chocolate, anyone considering ordering this should keep in mind that the two are not synonymous. Just because something is called "fudge" doesn't mean it has cocoa in it.

I really didn't know what to expect in this kind of confection. It is indeed a "fudge" type sweet, cut into small squares like caramels, and individually wrapped. Each square is two bites, or one big bite. The fudge is sweet and the flavor of the scotch marries really well with the sugars. Its not overpowering, I don't think you could "get drunk" off these- they probably don't contain alcohol, just flavor, but these are delicious, special, rare, and wonderful! If you're a scotch fan, or if the person you're buying for is a scotch fan AND also likes sweets (some people don't, but they're crazy!), this might be a great gift. I would suggest that these would go best for a person who specifically likes Glenfarclas Single Malt, but even if they're just a scotch whisky fan, these confections are delicate and delicious!Highly recommended!

The scotch flavor is not too strong. Does not get you drunk. It just adds a lingering flavor with smoky after tones. For scotch lovers..it is a must.

I love whisky fudge and wanted to give some as a gift to the kind couple who pick me up for church every Sunday morning. The tin arrived this week and will begiven to them this coming Sunday. I have no doubt they will like it as much as I do. I shared a few pieces from the last tinI had myself so I know they will be happy with this batch.

Delicious after-dinner caramel with a strong aroma of whisky but not too alcoholic a taste. Texture is a bit grainy but that is not unusual for this type of product. Seller shipped it out quickly, the item was packed well, and the price was right. My only complaint is that I wish whisky fudge was more readily available on Amazon.

The other guy did a fairly good review so I will keep mine short and simple. It really didn't taste like fudge, look like fudge, or feel like a solid fudge but the scotch aroma and flavor is definitely there. Well worth it for scotch fans, especially on sale, not good for fudge fans.

As another reviewer noted, these things are highly flavorful and when you first open a tin the scent will hit you head on but the actual taste is very little of the alcohol.My father enjoyed them so greatly that he hid the tin, so he could go back and enjoy one after another at his leisure. That alone has made it clear this was one of the best purchases of fudge I've ever made.

Love this stuff second year we have ordered it. However, this time it arrived with a best buy date of Dec 8th 2017. which is a shame when giving a gift for christmas. Why the 3 verses a 5 star

Die Whisky Karamell-Bonbons eignen sich perfekt als Geschenk für Whisky Liebhaber. Sie sind mal was anderes. Die schöne Schmuckdose eignet sich auch perfekt als Geschenk. Einzig die billig wirkende Plastiktüte in der die Bonbons im inneren der Dose verstaut sind, finde ich überflüssig. Bei Lieferung waren meine Bonbons noch ca. 6 Monate haltbar. Das finde ich persönlich zu kurz- sprich zu nah am Ablaufdatum.Ich habe die Bonbons meinem Mann geschenkt. Ihm schmecken sie gut wobei er gerne noch mehr Whisky Geschmack gehabt hätte. Er meint der Whisky Geschmack ist sehr dezent. Aber das ist Geschmacksache. Sie sind weich- also zum Kauen, nicht zum lutschen.Ich kann die Whisky Karamellbonbons zum Kauf empfehlen.
