Sporks are a little loved travel necessity
Sporks are a little loved travel necessity, but this is the spork Plato was thinking about in his world of perfect forms. All other sporks are mere shadows on the walls of some cave somewhere.. As advertised, it's tough, it weighs nothing and it's just the right size. I've lately become a fan of collapsible silicone lunch ware for work, and I hate the utensils that come with them. Imagine eating soup with a teaspoon! This spork is the perfect size for soup eating, and unlike plastic sporks, the fork tines don't tear up your lips. The fact that these tines won't hurt your mouth is probably the result of good design as much as it is choice of material. Speaking of material, it's a little shocking how light this is. It seems fragile, but I can assure you it is not fragile at all. Reasonable hand pressure isn't going to bend this. Unreasonable hand pressure probably won't bend it either, but to be honest, I'm more interested in eating my meals at work than stress testing my spork for Underwriter's Laboratories. The strap and the titanium carabiner (with stainless steel clip) are lovely. I don't have a use for them yet but they're lovely. In true spork tradition the carabiner is also multifunctional. It has a metric rule on the straight edge that will measure up to 5 cm. The hole for the strap is shaped so that it can provide you with some emergency wrenching of 12mm, 10mm, and 8mm bolts.Did the addition of the carabiner and the paracord strap tip me in favor of this spork over similar sporks of its type and price point? Of course it did!

Awesome little guy.
This is my first titanium product I have purchased and also my first backpacking spork. With that said, I'll say a bit about the carabiner first. The carabiner itself probably has limited functionality. I honestly can't think of a single scenario where I would need to wrench anything while backpacking, but could come in handy while camping. The centimeter ruler on the side will also see limited or no use. However, it is a carabiner and it will be put to use in more traditional roles. That said, I didn't buy this because it included a fancy carabiner. I bought it for the spork! The spork itself is fantastic. It weighs almost nothing - even with the carabiner attached (Note* it must be attached through the paracord loop as it will not fit on the spoon itself). The main selling point for me was actually the bottle opener on the end. It works fantastic and will see much use on regular camping trips... And probably at home, because why not use my fancy titanium spork whenever I get the chance to show it off?

Lighweight, practical, and sturdy
My only real complaint about this set is that the carabiner and spork don't really "fit" together; I wanted something that could easily hang off of my pack and the carabiner will only work like this because of the cord on the spork. Not a big deal. It will be fine, but I was hoping the carabiner would affix itself to the spork more easily. This is the reason I can give it only 4 stars.Other than that, the spork is extremely lightweight. I haven't used it in the field yet, but I did manhandle it a bit when I received it. It seems sturdy enough. The carabiner's most practical use is holding the spork, but it does have a small ruler and the end can be used as a wrench which seems handy. It is thin enough that I could probably use it to open my Bear Vault on cold mornings. Overall, I am pleased with the purchase and could definitely see purchasing another.

Bowl is more shallow than the Snowpeak Spork but the handle is longer and a bit thicker. Tines are also shorter. The cord is a hindrance because you have to take it off to wash the thing completely. Carabiner is alright.

sturdy spork
I have seen my share of titanium sporks... and this one feels a bit sturdier. In the past I bought a few cheaper titanium sporks and they didn't last long. They bent easily but I was able to bend them back. This one doesn't want to bend as easily. It looks cool and it come with a spiffy little carabiner. In all honesty I wouldn't consider the carabiner to be a tool unless you need a small little wrench and this is all you have. Would I buy this again? Sure, but not with the carabiner. Probably just get the spork and save a buck or two.

Truly prepared for anything
My husband took this to every holiday and New Years party we went to after I gave it to him for Christmas. Every guy he showed it to oohed and aahed over all the features packed into this little baby. He opened many a beer in great, manly fashion, with his spork flashing the "Ninja Prepper" logo. I have never seen a utensil make someone so happy. That is, until I discovered that titanium means this sucker is super durable. That, combined with the pointy tines, makes this the perfect apparatus for digging into a carton of Ben and Jerry's STRAIGHT FROM THE FREEZER. I kid you not.We really could survive an apocalypse now.

Good titanium gear at a good price.
Good deal on a titanium spork and carabiner. I'm neither a ninja nor a prepper, just a titanium fetishist, so I won't mourn the passing of the brand logos and may even hasten their demise, but the bottom line here is a good deal on good gear. The biner is flat, light, strong, and doing a good job of holding my keys to my belt loop. Appears to be the same biner that's being sold for ten bucks alone elsewhere. Recommended!
