Effective Math Tool
Do you have a child struggling to learn the multiplication tables? Do you feel like you have tried everything? That is where were were. We tried wrap-ups and the math shark and workbooks and math CDs and math DVDs. Yes, we have gone through lots of math materials to try to assist a child that really struggles with basic math concepts, especially those that require rote memorization. Then we bought this. It is simple and it works. Your child cuts out the flip facts shape, colors it in, and then folds it to create a math tool. Of course, if you have a daughter, she may have already learned how to fold these little shapes at school or camp. My daughter had so she took to this approach right away. It was fun, it kept her engaged, and because she would actually use this it seemed to help. You could make these without the book, but the book has cute little characters for the kids to color that made them more engaging. I thought it was worth the price.

Much Assembly Required
Yes, I read the reviews. I'd hoped it was a printing error that I wouldn't get. Nope. The perforations are in the wrong place. The only way to use these is to photocopy each page all the way to the staples. Then, you have to do some trimming after folding on all the lines. The child enjoyed coloring the pictures and doing the fun tasks. I don't think it worked as far as actually reinforcing multiplication, but nothing else has either. I recommend spending the money on a Learning Wrap-ups Math Intro Kit instead.

Just another fun way for kids to review their math facts
Just another fun way for kids to review their math facts. One more way to get them learning while they think they are playing a game.

Info good/fun but not user/kid friendly as far as a workbook goes. The pages did not tear out of book correctly ... the text was too close to the center of the booklet. I had to photocopy and cut out each photocopy to be able to use without closing info by tearing page out along line.

Okay...not great for us
Super idea! Not as easy to fold add I'd have thought. Hard to fold Along or-printed lines and still see facts. Easier to fold your own paper and write facts down yourself. Some of the hints (to remember the facts)were just weird and not that helpful. Still, as I said, clever idea.

Ok
It's ok, not what I expected. It has 22 fun flaps only. Could have had the kids make their own

Great way to practice multiplication facts!
My students love to make these fun flaps. This gives them a fun way to practice their math facts, either by themself or with a partner. This book makes it simple to copy the page of facts we are working on. Each page has the lines for the students to fold on. This has saved me a lot of time.

Fun, motivational
Fun, motivational strategy to reinforce multiplication facts. Has added benefit of teaching procedures, following instruction, and working on cutting and folding skills. My grade 3s love this activity and beg for more!
