I like old print books because the black and white images evoke a very spooky feeling. Plus, RC Majumdar's erudition has no match even today among the Leftist historians. There is no chapter titled on Marathas but the Maratha history is at least present unlike NCERT books which think of 300 years of Mughal rule like eternity.

Best book for Indian history and also for history optional. But print quality was so pathetic. Excellent Work By historians 🙏

I have it published by MacMillan, not gone through entirely but it gives a clear picture of history in a nutshell.ONLY PROBLEM IS FONT ,IT PUTS PRESSURE ON EYES ... EVEN DISCOURAGE READING. FONT SHOULD BE CHANGED .

Super narration , I am reading this after about 25 years and still the authors engage us in the same way...very authentic book on Indian history.....the fonts should be modified to a newer type as this book still has the old fonts which were used when it was first published , maybe more than 50 years ago....

The content of the book is good but the printing is terrible. It is quite small and in some cases not quite visible and the photosin the book are not quite clear.

For the content of the book I must give 5 star , but for the quality of printing and pages I have given 1 star. Such third class printing quality is nothing but a crime for injustice of the content and for the writer.

The rating I have given is all for the great Historian Dr RC Majumdar & the real history of India he wrote. For the publisher & the print quality I will be generous enough if I give even 1 star.This is the fact that Indian publishers loot Indians with substandard print & ruin the fun of a great book. However foreign publishers make a mediocre book eye catching with good paper quality, print & packaging which makes the reading enjoyable.
