Africa Heartwood Project 15" Cactus Rainstick from Chile - Authentic Handcrafted Rain Stick Musical Instrument with Rasta Yarn Wrap and Durable Sealant

This is my second rain stick. It’s great quality. It’s not very large so you will have to play with it to get along lasting sound because it’s short, but it looks really cool and I love the sound.

Being only 15" long, this is more suited to be shaken in rhythm to the music, rather than just turning it over, as the sounds only last a few seconds. Sadly I also discovered my hearing loss of high frequencies limits my ability to enjoy it, as I remembered rain sticks before partial deafness. Beautiful and authentic craftsmanship from a hollow cactus, wrapped at one end with colorful yarn. Nice to display, as well as a quality percussion instrument.

I chose this size rain stick so, I could place it in my percussion case which just over 15”This is going to be used in my group to add color to the music. No surprise here it looks just like the photos and seems to be well made. My only draw back, is it’s not loud enough for amplified settings. Overall it’s a nice percussion instrument.

I wanted one for my daughter but didn't want to spend a lot. This kids a nice size bit cheaper than a large one. Good for personal use.

The rainstick arrived... I was expecting it to have a coating on it, it was very rough and pokey... and it doesn't sound like rain at all... The plastic kid toys have more of a rain sound than this rainstick.

This is a nice little rain stick. I do wish I’d ordered a larger one but this one does all I expected it to. Definitely suggest buying. Desk size, bedside table sized for when you need to fidget before falling asleep and love the sound of rain, and travel size if you have a group you’re visiting and want to share a rainstick toy with.
