a very fascinating dictionary! Richard Scarry is a genius

A literary piece of art. Adding some images and let it speak for itself.

Kids love this book. Lots of laughs and hours of independent fun (4yo & 6yo).

Great visual dictionary that has clever imagery to help young children understand what is being defined. This one seems to be an early Richard Scarry as some of the characters are different from the later books (no Lowly worm, but there is Ooch worm; no Huckle cat, just Tom cat and Huckle bear instead). It’s very extensive and I’m always finding new words we hadn’t read before. A great purchase!

Relevant even today and even after 2 yrs of purchase

I have bought two of this books already, one for birthday present for nephew aged 3, and one for my son. The drawings are interesting and engaging for a 3 year old. Hopefully he will get more out of it as he grows older. Highly recommend!
