How the Grinch Stole Christmas!: Yellow Back Book (Dr. Seuss - Yellow Back Book)

Excellent. Having not read this myself as a child, I was looking forward to reading it for my 4 and 5 year olds. Not only do they love it, but their mother does too! Lovely Christmas story, well told, with clever rhyming. I'm not a fan of all the Dr. Seuss book, but this one if up there with 'The Cat in the Hat' for me.

My daughter (age 3) is really into readying stories together so I bought this for her to read with me over Christmas, it's a really nice alternative to the usual Christmas stories and now one of our family favourites. We will be getting this book out to read for many Christmases to come.

Reading this to my four and six year old at Christmas time brings a lump to my throat. So much better then the dreadful film. The revelation that: 'Maybe Christmas' he thought 'doesn't come from a store' Maybe Christmas perhaps...means a little bit more!' ...beautiful (and a tiny bit sentimental)

I used this book with a year 5 class around Christmas time, it was enjoyed by all of the class. Even though it is a simple book the children liked to guess the ending to the rhyming words. Great delievery as well arrived the next day!

Un poco decepción porque pensaba que iba a ser un libro más grande y es enano y finísimo, pero bueno.

Un libro magico, per i miei figli ormai non è Natale senza Grinch; non è semplice trovare parole adeguate per descrivere questo capolavoro del dr. Seuss, che ha dato vita ad una storia straordinaria, dove il messaggio è veicolato da una perfetta sintesi tra contenuto ed ironia, tra timore e dolcezza, tra certezza e stupore. La versione inglese è l'originale e ho voluto comprarla per proporla ai miei figli che avevano già apprezzato il libro in versione italiana (la traduzione dell'edizione mondadori che abbiamo noi, ad esempio, è comunque magistrale). Ogni bimbo del mondo dovrebbe avere un Grinchino sul comodino.
