The 'grey wash' finish looks better, I think, than it did in the pictures and goes really well against a brick wall in my room. The sturdiness is no joke - I believe I could literally stand on top of this unit without damaging it. Assembly was easy enough, and I did it by myself without the second pair of hands that they recommended. The top piece is long and heavy and has to be set into several pins simultaneously; that's about the only place where an extra person might be useful. I had a couple of minor problems, neither of which was serious enough to warrant taking a star away from the overall rating. They give you a very small tube of wood glue to dab on the dowel pins during assembly. It's about half the amount I needed; when they say 'small amount' they apparently mean it. Also, the 12mm screws that are used to attach the cabinet door hinges are from a supplier with - questionable - quality control practices. I sheared the heads off of two of them just from the torque I created hand-tightening them with a Phillips head screwdriver. I'm a 71-year-old man with carpal tunnel; I look nothing like Conor McGregor. Of course, once you drive a screw into a piece of wood and the head snaps off there's no way to back that out, so my door hinges are held in place by two screws instead of three. They still feel sturdy and open and close smoothly with no resistance, so I doubt this will be a problem long-term. But if someone from the manufacturer reads this, you may want to find a better supplier.

Yet another Chinese piece of photographed wood furniture. This one we were very happy with. The color is great for most off white and retro looking. I have to say this was soooo much easier to put together than the bureaus with drawers. It was very straight forward to assemble with minimal pieces. They thought to put two extra legs in the middle of the bottom piece to reinforce and stop any bowing from weight. Being low at 24" it is extremely stable and the top weighs a ton. We put a 77" TV on it and it took up all but two inches of the top piece. It looks great and kind of downplays the large size of the TV. I tossed the mickey mouse school glue they included and used Titebond III wood glue. I put if liberally on the entire edges which joined and not just the little wood dowel plugs. An occasional wack with a rubber mallet or hard push with a hand and everything went together with totally acceptable tolerances. The cabinet doors are fixed hinges so no adjustment ability like a kitchen cabinet. They will line up as straight as you put the piece together. They can be very slightly adjusted by loosening the hing screws a little. All in all a very good piece which is sturdy, looks good and will last a very long time.

This tv stand is so cute! I do love the quality and look. The instructions were pretty simple, I did mess up the way the doors went but it was an easy fix. Just make sure you really pay attention to direction. I dropped it a star because I was missing screws for the doors. I looked everywhere and kept all the screws in the bags until I needed them and I never received a bag with the screws at all. Ended up going to ACE and getting screws as close to the size listed in the instruction manual and they worked fine. (The silver screws in the second picture of the door)

Disclaimer: this product is easily assembled with a power drill and not just the Philips head like the manual suggests. I recommend borrowing one or renting one if you don’t have one. However, try to do it yourself if you’re used to building furniture. Some of the steps can become a bit tedious, strenuous and stressful so be prepared to put about 2-4 hours into this project if you’re only doing it with a Philips head. It took me about an hour and a half by myself with a power drill. If you are feeling rushed to get this done you don’t have to glue the wooden dowels but it is recommended in the manual. I personally did not add the glue in case I had to return it, luckily that wasn’t the case and it’s very sturdy! This product comes with extra parts and everything is labeled for you for quick assembly! This item is very heavy in the package. The top and bottom part of this item are the heaviest. They do add extra wood and styrofoam to ensure your package isn’t damaged. Ensure that item C is facing the with open hole out so it is properly inserted. Step 7 will be strenuous with the hex key they provide you with but it gets the job done. Step 11 might be a bit difficult if the sides aren’t sturdy. I had trouble with sides but not with the middle. I suggest gluing the side if possible. Step 12 is a two person job but if you grab it from the middle it’s easier if you’re the only one building it. Then adjust the sides that aren’t inserted yet. I skipped step 13 because I felt like it was unnecessary for my wall because it will never touch. If you got some extra time it won’t hurt to add that step but it might be an extra 30 minutes. If you add the stickers to match the wood skin it appears as if it’s blended in quite nicely but not all of them stuck very well so I suggest wiping the area down from dust and debris. Step 15 shows to place item G in the middle but you will notice there’s more holes so you can change the space between each shelf. They do fit nicely in the middle for me as you see in the picture. Step 18 and 19 are very difficult without a power drill but if you don’t have one I suggest starting with the whole that’s by itself and then adding the other two. Step 20 is easier if done on its side but if you have a power drill starting with the bottom worked best for me and then securing the other two before moving to the top. You will be very happy with the final assembly! I’m so excited to finally see my entertainment system in my living room and am planning to purchase another one for my den.

We love it. It’s looks great and is a solid piece of furniture at a great price point. It also has a lot of storage space. It took two hours to put it together but don’t let that deter you because it’s worth it.

I remember how excited we were to order this and then, when waiting for it to come, I read through countless reviews about the particle board or stability/bowing issues. No, this is perfect. It came from the delivery truck with a couple of punctures in the box and I saw wooden boards right there where things were punctured and thought, crap! That’s our boards for the item! No, they actually package this with thick heavy foam and then thin veneer type boards to further protect it shipping. Instructions were awesome and very straightforward, there were even wood grain little stickers to place over every screw hole area that people might see so things look seamless. This is absolutely gorgeous and I would recommend it to anyone. We did not have bowing issues and have a 65” on top of it. Now, if we were going to move it to another place we will certainly give it the white glove treatment, take everything off beforehand, be careful, but there is nothing about the construction of this that makes us feel it is the fault of the manufacturing or build. I suspect that some people might have either put it together wrong and then had to rewind and take out pieces and screw or wrench things in again in a similar spot to have those sorts of problems. It is beautiful and has added to our quality of enjoyment in our living room, and so am a paranoid person when it comes to these things, so I recommend taking the leap! It is a great piece and worth the price.

This unit far exceeded my expectations. I was finally tired of my old tv stands that I had from college and decided to spent some money to "adult" it up to the same level as my electronics. Still I did not want to spend a grand on a solid wood unit but I wanted something that was aesthetically pleasing - this fit the bill perfectly. The instructions were clear, parts were all clearly labeled (bag of spare parts as well), goes together very easy for the size, and is sturdy once completed. I like that all three shelves are adjustable and can be removed if needed. Amazon delivery was also way faster then estimate - 3 days instead of the week plus. Color was exactly as show as well. Pro: 1) Great size for larger tvs. 2) Good cable management with the holes on each back piece able to be at the top or bottom (decide where when putting together). 3) Sturdy 4) PRICE Cons: 1) This is my only gripe - the doors do have magnet stops that the instructions have you attach and there are pre-drilled holes for. The metal screw to place in the top of the door to cling to the magnet stopper does not have any pre-drilled holes nor was it mentioned in any step of the instructions. Simple fix to just drill the small one myself - but still an oversight.
