With this kit and a few other supplies I can now do conservation work on old books.I enjoy restoring old children's classics. My current project is a 1939 reprint of L Frank Baum's second Oz story, "The Land of Oz", Popular Edition. I bought a second copy on eBay for $10 + $4 s&h for an identical copy in better shape. I'll use it to copy pages that are missing on the other one; then restore it and sell it on eBay with a reserve of $250 and a 'Buy It Now' price of $350.Next month I'm buying a genuine first edition of this work for around $35 and will restore it to a value between $500 - $1000, if my market research is correct.

I used the Jofamy Bookbinding Starter Tool Set to repair my Daughter’s book. First I lined the edges of the book up and used the awl to make holes along the binding edge. Next I used a needle and wax thread to sew the bookbinding together and attach a piece of bind edge strap. This was my first time fixing a book and all though it’s not perfect, it’s functional. The kit comes with a variety of high quality tools so you can try many different binding methods.

I think this kit is awesome, especially for beginners. All of my tools that were supposed to be sharp were & everything was well organized in the box. I've already used it to do a book repair & I'm very happy with this purchase!

Everything was good. The curved bone folder was missing however Jofamy's customer service was very amenable and rectified the situation. I will definitely do business with this company in the future.

Not only a great book binding kit but with the tools included it is a very handy kit to have for several different uses.
