Curing livers with the pro-cure uv double red powder absolutely make the livers a "Kat- Killer" bait.Simply follow directions on can & don't rush the process.However...in my case I use my livers in small sacks made from 7/8" tubular gauze.my rod is set up with double stinger rig utilizing 2 -#5 circle hooks tied using a knotless knot;tying one just above the other.fold top of the liver sack over couple times.Insert the top hook(closest to rod tip);then simply twirl bag until it gets tight,then insert the other hook right through the middle of sack..Hold rod firmly & tite lines to ya!

This worked very well on the chicken livers. covered ...
This worked very well on the chicken livers. covered each side with it and did it again over a couple of days. Also sprinkled some salt on it. The livers were tough and stayed on the hook a long time. Will be using this again for the channel cats. They bit on in as well as fresh livers but stayed on the hook much longer.

Did not work as expected
I was happy to get this product. I couldn't wait to go out and try it. After four days of curing the chicken liver in the sun, I took it out to a couple of different places where I normally go fishing. To my surprise, I did not get a single bit....very disappointing. However, I have not lost hope. Really eager to try again next year and hoping for better results ;-).5/22/2022 update: The liver is still preserved after a yr (not sure) and i got some bites this time around :-). I caught a small channel cat fish but nothing major yet. I guess this stuff works. Will keep trying.

works great. Caught more channel cats with this than with ...
Used this to toughen up chicken livers, works great. Caught more channel cats with this than with normal chicken liver, and was able to catch multiple fish with the same piece. Only down side is you must wear gloves when handling the liver or this stuff will stain your hands pink.

Works great. Put in a trot line w/ bait shrimp and egg cured chicken liver. All fish caught on the cured chicken liver. The cured livers rehydrate when put in water and the color is red. Satisfied
