The media could not be loaded. Compared to other lightning detectors, most of the time it detects more than the other detectors.I encountered some issues with it but solved it like battery placing i need to be very careful to pick the correct poles of positive and negatives alignment and making sure the connection metal to be placed on the right direction to work.Also making sure for not to let it be close to other high voltage electronics like washing machines - TVs - Spot lights - phones and wireless devices, for not to let it trigger False alerts.

I bought three of these and on all three the tone alert stopped working. Scyscan service is a joke! I have repeatedly contacted them regarding out of warranty repair costs to fix the tne alert function. The ONLY response I received was that "if the units are still under warranty they will be replaced" I sent an email reply that they were out of warranty and I wanted an estimate to repair them. I did this several times but NEVER got a reply with an estimate.

I wrote the wrong review. It takes six batteries not three. I had to take the battery holder out. This product didn’t come with an external power cord though.

This item did not last 6 months. I bought two of these for work and one worked well but the other did not. And they were set up approximately 1000 ft. apart and both 250 foot in height. I wanted to see if I could exchange the one that has not worked properly and the time has ran out. LESS than 6 months. Very disappointed with this.

Watched lightning close from 15 to 1 mile and the unit didn’t give a single indication. Choose a different unit.
